Is it important that the money we show in the bank account should be atleast 6 months old? 1 or 2 months old will not be accepted?

Hi,

I got my PCC done on 10 July 17.
I received my ITA on 15th Nov 17.

As per my understanding PCC stays valid for 6 months, so from that prospective I am good.

Still I have 2 question

1 :- Since my PCC was not more than 6 months old so, can the PSK, issue PCC on same day without Police Verification ??

2 :- Does a recent PCC means faster processing of application ??

I am in Delhi, last time I requested it took me 2-3 weeks.

Regards,
Hi Avijeet,
I am from Delhi too. Can you please let me know if you took the Delhi police PCC or passport office PCC. Am thoroughly confused. Passport office PCC takes longer and u have to go and waste 2 days there. Please share your experience.
Got ITA on 15 too.

To be safe I would ask someone to do it on my behalf, but since the instructions say you can go back and do it in person it means you can not be penalised for doing so.

I would still stick to the safe route though.

regards
Its just none of the friends are now in Oman. I will need to find someone or go there personally and with the police certificate, explain that I followed CIC guidelines and have personally visited Oman to get the PCC

Hi Friends,

I called the CIC helpline today in the morning and the representative says I have some good News your file has been "Approved".

He asked me if I received an email to submit my passport - I said no
He asked me what does my account say - I said "BG in process"

I have been looking at my account and email "even in the spam" but have seen no update.

My question is should I be Happy or Concerned do I call the consulate in India

would appreciate all your guidance

Happy, of course ! Wait for a couple of days (not more than 3), and call them up stating this same verbiage. Last but not the least, ask them which Visa office is processing it and you could send an email to them (after these 3 days) on the status.

Many Congratulations !

It's all on the CIC site: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/index.asp

But...

(Please note that this info does not apply to the Federal Skilled Trades Program)

1) Determine your eligibility by doing this CIC quiz http://www.cic.gc.ca/ctc-vac/ee-start.asp

2) Get your language test(s) done. You must get at least CLB 7 in each of the four sections for the Federal Skilled Worker (FSW), Provincial Nomination Program (PNP) or Canadian Experience Class (CEC) streams. But getting CLB 10 gives you maximum points for language.

How does CLB match back to the language tests? That info is here --> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/language/charts.asp

3) Get your qualifications assessed by doing an Education Credential Assessment. Details here --> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/assessment.asp

4) Determine the code that best applies to you on the National Occupation Classification (NOC) list http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/noc.asp

The occupation must be NOC 0, A, or B for FSW or CEC.

5) When you have those in hand you create your express entry profile. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/profile.asp and register for the Job Bank http://www.jobbank.gc.ca/home-eng.do?lang=eng

You'll be given points based on your age, education, number of years work experience, and language skills. The points system is detailed here --> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/grid-crs.asp

You'll be in a pool with thousands of other applicants http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/pool.asp

Of course, the more points you have the better. The max is 1200, with 600 of those points coming from your ability to snag a PNP or a job offer with a very hard to get Labour Market Impact Assessment http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/employers/lmo-basics.asp

For CEC applicants, the max is 600 but someone who has no work experience in Canada who is only eligible for FSW can only get up to 520 points.

6) Finally, wait for your invitation to apply (ITA). But in the interim you will need to do the following:

a) Have your application fee (C$550 each for principal applicant and spouse) and right of permanent resident fee (C$490 each for principal applicant and spouse) ready
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/fees.asp

b) Identify how you will provide proof of funds http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp

c) check out what is required for the police certificates http://www.cic.gc.ca/English/information/security/police-cert/index.asp

d) find out how long it takes to get a date for the medical exam. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/medical/medexams-perm.asp

e) contact previous and current employers about them providing job letters. You must have at least 12 months of full-time, or an equal amount in part-time, skilled work experience. Full-time work means at least 30 hours of paid work per week. Work experience while you were a full-time student does not count.

f) research cities in the province(s) where you want to live.

Hello,
We are planning to apply for Canada's Express entry program My husband would be the principal applicant.

Here I need help regarding NOC. My husband's occupation is
Manager- Transactions and risk management .
Could any one please help under which NOC he comes?

And
Do we both have to write the IELTS test prior creating his profile?

Your time and help would be appreciated!
Thanks!

Try the NOC Code 0125 and see if it aligns to his roles & responsibilities.

If the spouse takes the IELTS, it’d fetch you a maximum of 20 points. As a result, it’s upto you should you wish to earn those points.

The only way the system can ask for those documents is if you included them in your work history. Make sure you have deleted them and only put them in your personal history.

regards
Thank you a lot for your response. Will it be considered misrepresentation if I do not include them in my work history but include them in personal history? My lawyer is saying that she will declare the period as unemployed. Which seems so wrong to me.

No it is not misrepresentation. Say you were unemployed in personal history when you were is misrepresentation.
So delete it from work history and only mention it in personal history.

It doesnt necessarily have to stay in the account for 6 months+, however, you will need to show your current and average 6 months balance Therefore, if the is a major difference between the two figures you will need to show the source of your funds. Eg, gift deed or agreement of sale etc.

Thanks a lot for your feedback. However, please confirm if it necessary to get my wife to sign this notorised affidavit? since she will also be coming to Canada once we get the visa.

Thank you so much for the reply. I have gone through

Determine your eligibility
by doing this CIC quiz http://www.cic.gc.ca/ctc-vac/ee-start.asp

But it says you are not qualified for express entry.

Could you please suggest what do I do now. Fsw or pnp, Iam a newbie and just read about these two options.

Could anyone please share the link for PNP detailed thread
or
FSW detailed thread.

Hi,

I have a question related to work experience letters, I hope esteemed members would be kind enough to guide me through...

I have got a experience letter from my company that contains
hours of work , present designation, job and responsibilities , emp id on employer letter head

but it does not contains below data

  1. it is 1 year old
  2. Does not mentions my salary
  3. does not mention all the designation hold from date of joining (ie: 10 years ago....)

I am not in a situation to ask from my employers to issue a fresh exp letter again...
Can I get an notarized affidavit created , where I declare that
  • I am still working in the same organization
  • My Present Salary is XXX
  • Give details of designation hold from (xyz to abc)

To prove same , I can provide my Salary stubs, form 16, ITR. (proving I am still with same organization and performing same role and my salary)
Yearly appraisal and promotion letters (showing change of designation)

Your reply would be really helpful....
