Hello
Ideally it says express entry processing times for express entry are less than 6 months and the processing times for new pr card is 41 days on cic.gc.ca
My query is that i have sent an application to the cic after receiving an ITA on 22nd september 2016 with the medicals and pcc.
So should i expect copr and pr visa in 41 days or after landing in canada and then the processing time for pr card is 41 days??
Kindly help.

As per what is listed on the site, please see timelines below
COPR - 6 months (average)
PR Card - 41 days (average)

The processing times for EE (any stream) is 6 months as mentioned on the site. 41 days is for the PR card processing AFTER you land and activate your PR status in Canada.

Hi,

I got the invitation to apply today,

When I signed into my cic account, it gave me the option of either "continue application" or "decline". I continued and then was redirected to a short questionnaire regarding payment of application and PR fee and once I submitted that I was redirected to the "Permanent Residency Application", this page looked very similar to the sections that express entry application have and just had an additional "personal history" section at the bottom.

Q1. Does that mean that I have accepted the ITA?

Q2. What happens if I decline?

Q3. While filling out the personal information section, I have to report the funds that I will be bringing in Canada. I have been working in Canada over a year on a Post Graduate work permit. I do not have supporting documents from my employers back home as discussed before on this forum, I left that info out of my express entry (EOI) but when I was accepted into the pool, I met both FSW and CEC criteria.
I want to apply under CEC, what do you guys suggest. CIC website says that you don't have to show funds if you applying under CEC or have arranged employment. I was never asked during the process about which stream I am applying through. what do you guys suggest?

Please refer to this thread for Post ITA Process - http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/ready-reference-steps-to-follow-and-documents-to-arrange-post-ita-t455826.0.html

1. By acceptance it means that you fill up all information, upload documents and make the payment and submit eAPR. Clicking Continue is not deemed as acceptance. Till the time you submit your eAPR, the button Decline would be active, which means, you can decline the ITA anytime you want.

2. You will have 60 days to submit your PR application electronically with all supporting documents. 60 days start from the day you get ITA, if you feel that you will not be able to arrange all the documents in 60 days, you can decline the ITA anytime before the expiry of 60 days and you will be back in the pool. In case you decline your ITA, then you will be eligible to be invited again provided you meet the CRS cut-off requirement.

3. If you are eligible for both, then the order in which you would be invited is given below
  • First - CEC
  • Second - FSW

There was Supportive documents slot (LOE) last week but today I was trying to upload the documents, there was no slot for LOE. :(
Now Should I wait until it fixed by itself? or I can add LOE pdf to other slot. Confuse?

If you have the placeholder specific for LOE, have one Master LOE, or else you can have one for each section where you want to explain something.

Hi Stanlee,

Thanks for your reply, I am clear about Q1 and Q2 now.

For Q3, it does not list in order which I was selected. I received a message this morning under the express entry application that "Based on the information you provided us in your Express Entry profile, we are pleased to invite you to apply for permanent residence under the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)
Below is the list of criteria upon which this invitation was based on: "

the criteria shows the break up of my CRS score under which I have points against CRS – Human Capital – Canadian Work Experience but "0 points" for CRS – Skill Transferability – Foreign Work Experience

Still confused which category I am selected under PNP? which is based on CEC or FSW?

I got express entry PNP (BC International Post Graduate) based on my eligibility for Express Entry.

If you have zero points for foreign experience and some points for Canandian work experience, that means you have been invited under CEC. Check the below extract from CIC site.

Can I be eligible for more than one program under Express Entry?

Yes. Depending on the information in your profile, you may be eligible for more than one program through Express Entry.

In that case, you will be invited to apply for one program based on this order:

- Canadian Experience Class (CEC),
- Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), then
- Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP).

For example:
- If you met the criteria for all three programs, the system would send you an invitation to apply for the CEC.
- If you met the criteria for CEC and FSWP, you would also get an invitation to apply under the CEC.
- If you met the criteria for FSWP and FSTP, you would get an invitation to apply under FSWP.
You can’t choose which program you are invited to apply for. The system will sort profiles based on the information you enter.

If you decline the invitation, the system will not re-invite you under the next program. You will go back in the pool, and if we invite you again, the same order will apply.

Thank you Stanlee for Prompt reply.

I have one LOE with all PNP confirmation documents but where should I upload that? other than that I do not want to explain anything to them. When I generated document checklist last week there was specific place to saying LOE as supportive documents but today there is no specific place for LOE. So may be it is a system glitch or something.

Choose Unemployment and in description mention the fact that you had applied for study permit and was waiting for the same.
