Hey guys,

I have updated my profile. It should go from 436 to 476 now.

A) How long does it take for them to recalculate my points?
B) After points update, will i be eligible from the very first draw or will there be a waiting period?
C) I'm working in Montreal,QC. So if they accept my application, will i have to leave my job and move out of the province till i get the PR? How does it work?

Thanks!

Give it 24 hours.

Once the points are updated and the draw cut-off <= 476, you'll get an ITA in that draw.

C) I'm working in Montreal,QC. So if they accept my application, will i have to leave my job and move out of the province till i get the PR? How does it work?

One of the eligibility requirements to be eligible under EE is you must intend to reside outside Qubec. You will not have to quit your job but if the officer asks for proof of intention to move outside Qubec, you might have to provide proof for that (like Job search in other provinces etc).

Thanks!

Hi

After PPR, I submitted my passport for over 1 week, still haven't received my CoPR. Should I send an inquiry to rush them?

Thanks

Hi Raj,

Any update when OINP is opening. ?
Earlier my pts were 407 which is now increased to 422. So wht are the chances of getting an OINP?
Does they pick up automatically or do I have to send inmail?

Many thanks
Raman

No, you don't have to do anything. If they re-open and you meet their eligibility criteria, you might get a PT NOI.

Many thanks
Raman
There is no update from OINP if they have re-opened the EE - Human Capital Priorities Stream. You can check the below link for updates from OINP -

Pls help !!!

In spouse factor, when i use CRS TOOL, I get 9 points since i select "two or more defree, diploma & certificates"
But in actual profile submission I dont get that option, so I select "Bachelor's degree" only for 2 different degree. So I get 8 points in actual EE profile.

How to get this extra 1 mark ??

Spouse ECA
Overall - Bachelor' degree & bachelor degree
Since I submitted 2 bachelor degrees of my spouse.

Hello,

I am in Canada as Visitor ( stay extended under restoration)after completing 3 yr exp. under PGWP.

My PR file is under process since couple of months under Express Entry.

My question is: Is it good idea to leave Canada while file is under process? I am planning to visit India for next 4 months or I can say until I get PR?

Please let me know any best suggestion as I am really confused about it.

Thanks

I believe it is okay to travel when your file is in process. However, if you get PPR when you are in India, you would have to request a VO change and then submit the passport to NDVO rather than Ottawa.

rajkamalmohanram - Please correct me if I'm wrong below.

Hi ramansingh05,

According to OINP website your score must be above 400 to get nominated and should remain above 400 throughout the processing of your application; also you should maintain the EE requirements throughout the processing of you application.

From what I know they automatically nominate EE profiles that meet their requirements but sometimes EE profile needs to have it's GCKey recreated to get the nomination. So just keep an eye out for OINP to see when they start the nominations again for 2017. This link provided by rajkamalmohanram "http://www.ontarioimmigration.ca/en/pnp/OI_PNPNEW.html" contains more information regarding OINP. I have it bookmarked!

1) This requirement of re-creating profile was existent the last time the program was open. However, this clearly was an error and IRCC might have fixed this. So, IMO, you might not have to necessarily re-create your profile.

2) Even if you do have to do it, you can just re-create the profile using the same GCKey. You don't have to create another GCKey.

Hi cpsingh, I also noticed that the "Two or more degrees, diplomas or certificates" option has disappered - not just for the spouse factor, but also for the primary applicant. I've asked the same question in another forum. I hope it is a technical glitch, and not an intended change... In my case it has caused my CRS score to drop from 441 to 408, because the system thinks I only have one degree. Even when I added a second degree manually, my score still did not update.

Have they changed the rules about multiple degrees and not update their website? I did not see anything in the recently announced EE changes to suggest this.

Hey guys,

Another question. There is a 2 month gap between my two jobs in Canada. Now during that period, i was working for myself and I incorporated my business. Can i show that as Work Experience under the new rules (Nov 19th on wards)? I know it didn't count towards WE earlier but just wanted to know if anything changed under the new rules.

I can show article of Inc operation, business bank accounts, etc as proof of my business.

Thanks!
