Thank you for Reply.

Dear Raj, How do i calculate my eligibility for Express Entry? I mean getting more than 67 points out 100 or via. CRS.

Your eligibility is determined by looking at the score you are getting on the FSW points grid - You have to get at least 67/100 to be eligible under FSW program. Check here

I'm bit confused now. I'm working in Kuwait and my family is also here. My wife also working and and we got IELTS score band of 6.5 (for me ) and 7 (for my wife) but we do not have a job offer from Canada (not mandatory) or we did not study in Canada (not mandatory) or We do not have any blood relating in Canada to get a good CRS (Having a relative in Canada does not award you any CRS points). What shall we do? (All that matters is your eligibility and your CRS. Calculate your CRS here I have a friend who is a canadian national. Can my friend Canadian national help me to get a Job Offer without ]registering in Job Bank or LIMA. You cannot claim points for job offers that are not backed by a positive LMIA (except under certain circumstances). You MUST register with jobbank if you do not have a job offer.

You have to do more research on the process - You can refer the following resources -

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/express-entry-step-by-step-instructions-t273928.0.html;msg4108507#msg4108507

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/express-entry-in-a-nutshell-t394158.0.html;msg4915358#msg4915358

Please help me to sort out the doubts and confusion.

Really informative thank you for taking the time to share.

I am already in Canada on an open work permit. My employer has submitted an LMIA, this is not mentioned in your write up but I believe this is a path to express entry?

It is a long process, two months and the application fee still has not even been taken!
A job offer is NOT mandatory to be eligible under Express Entry. It is optional. The first post on this thread is kind of geared towards outland applicants without a job offer. However, the majority of the points mentioned apply to applicants belonging to any stream (FSW/CEC/FST).

If you do have a job offer, then you would be awarded additional points for that.

Need urgent help with NOC code!!

I'm currently working as PMO in Accenture and working for a global bank. Below are some of my roles and responsibilities.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Responsible for maintaining, tracking and publishing release plan, order books , RAID logs and other key deliverables
• Responsible for maintaining the Investment financials and reporting the actuals to the regional senior management
• Working closely with Project managers and Program managers in tracking and updating the financials and milestone details
• Coaching, mentoring the team members and promoting best practices in the global PMO team
• Responsible for recruitment & ramp up of the team as per the demand

I believe this information is very crucial because based on this, I will also be able to figure out which all provinces I can apply for under Express Entry PNP at later stage.

I also reached out to NC-NOC-CNP-GD2@hrsdc-rhdcc.gc.ca regarding the NOC query. They didn't give me a specific NOC team code but asked me to check their website and figure it out.

Based on my own assessment I think my NOC code should be 1122 - Professional Occupations in Business Management Consulting. I'm not 100% sure though.

Can you please help me understand what all Provinces I will be eligible for if my NOC code is 1122.

Thanks in advance

Darshan

Do you do (or have done in the past) at least 4 out of these 6 tasks:

Analyze and provide advice on the managerial methods and organization of a public or private sector establishment
Conduct research to determine efficiency and effectiveness of managerial policies and programs
Conduct assessments and propose improvements to methods, systems and procedures in areas such as operations, human resources, records management and communications
Conduct quality audits and develop quality management and quality assurance standards for ISO (International Organization for Standardization) registration
Plan the reorganization of the operations of an establishment
May supervise contracted researchers or clerical staff.

If so the go ahead and put done NOC 1122, but be aware that your reference letter needs to look more like the above and less like what you said you do!

If you'd prefer to stick to what you've put down as your activities then have a look at NOC 1221 - Administrative Officers, it's much more related to pure PMO that business consultants - http://www23.statcan.gc.ca/imdb/p3VD.pl?Function=getVD&TVD=122372&CVD=122376&CPV=1221&CST=01012011&CLV=4&MLV=4

Good luck!

Thnx a lot for the detailed response.

Even I agree that 1221- Administrative Officers is a closer match.

What all Provinces am I eligible to apply under PNP if my NOC code is 1221.

Please advise.

Have a look at this thread - http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/summary-of-eligibility-requirements-for-all-express-entry-pnp-streams-t432937.0.html

Read the first post for general info, look at the PT's PNP websites as you can find out a lot from them...

Good luck!

Hi Raj,
In continuation to my earlier question, is the money in the Provident Fund account (managed by Employees' Provident Fund Organization) acceptable as POF ? a) If so, what documents do you advise to keep ready? b) If not, how to make use of this money as one of the Proofs of funds?

Best Regards,
NRY

Hi Guys,

I got an invite for the Dec 22 ITA. I am sitting at 548 pts. I am finding it difficult to get my experience letters from back home (India). To save me the hassle, I was thinking if I take out my indian work exp my points reduces to 498, which is still higher than the 475 cutoff during that draw.

Should I take it off? Would it be a problem? I know it is above the cutoff but it is a pretty massive drop in points

Hi everyone, :)

I received my ITA via CEC on Jan 4th and am currently getting all my documents together.
I have only been in Canada since I turned 18 so I do not need a PCC - the only time consuming thing will be going for the medical but other than that all my documents are good to go.
In May of this year I was planning to go on a vacation for 2 weeks but I am worried that I am going to get my PPR when I am travelling.

How long after getting PPR do you have to submit it? Specifically when it is via CEC and I currently reside in Canada?

Thank you in advance!!

1) Yes, funds in the EPF account can be used as POF (NDVO had replied affirmatively to this) but if you have other source of liquid funds, I'd suggest that you rather use that instead of the monies in the PF.

2) For EPF, check this

3) Ideally, you should be able to submit a bank letter containing your name, account number(s), date the account was opened, current balance and average balance for the past 6 months. If the letter doesn't show average balance, then you might have to submit 6 months bank statements.

If you are using fixed deposits as POF, you can submit a bank letter mentioning your name, FD number(s), date the FDs were opened and the current balance.

Attach it in the order that you have mentioned your employment details in the Work History section. If you are still not sure, you can explain that in LOE as to what you have uploaded against each Employment Record placeholder.
