Express entry effect on refugee claim

Hello
I would like to apply for express entry , but I'm afraid that if I'm not selected for express entry and later on decide to get a TRV to go to Canada and make a refugee claim, the question is can my previous failed express entry attempt have any effect on my refugee claim?
Thanks I appreciate your input.

If you think you are eligible for express entry go for that one. Questions: Why would you claim asylum if you are eligible for express entry? No offence but it sounds like asylum shopping and I am sure they will think the same.

Thanks for the input, but its not asylum shopping because I just asked a question that needs answering , I just need a simple answer.

If your express entry doesn't get picked, yes expect more focus on your claim. As I have said, they will look at is as you are only applying for asylum because you cannot get here any other way. That is the simple answer and by asking the question, I think you knew that already. Good luck

Thank you , I wasn't sure about it that's why I asked , I will only apply for express entry having above 400 points, but I just wanted to know other options, so to my understanding they wouldn't mind if someone made a refugee claim with previous failed EE attempt, I mean it would not have effect on his asylum case, is that what you are saying?

No that's not what I am saying. What I am saying is if you put a profile in and it is not high enough they will look at your refugee more closely. You will still be able to claim, but the claim better be watertight as they will look at it more closely and it will probably take longer. Can you not try another way rather than a refugee claim? Studying, PNP? Where are you from and where are you living right now? Claiming asylum should only be used if your life is in danger. If it's not, the claim will be rejected.

I'm from Iraq currently live in Iraq, I want to move to Canada, I would gladly try ways other than refugee which is the last thing I wanna do,
so can you get PR after finishing study? but for me getting the visa is so difficault.
how about PNP , I think these are very difficult for Iraqi citizen, I live in the worst country on earth.
my academic IELTS score is 6.5
I have bachelor degree in medicine (doctor)

Unless you can prove your life is in danger I would recommend you don't even think about asylum. For studying, if you get a 2 year course, you are eligible for a 3 year PGWP (which is an open work permit). When you get a years work experience then you can apply for PR. That's what I have done and am doing. If going down the PNP route, you get extra points for your PR application which more or less guarantees you have enough points to be picked.

I would do a lot more research online as there are countless pages about all of this. Start here though

Like I said it is the last thing I wanna do , as long as other ways available I will not even consider it.
