I have one question. Is it fine, if I land after visiting my home country, as I don't want to wait for two months to get my PR card. My work permit expires in July.

Raj, Is there any need to get insured before going to Canada ?

Depends on where you go. If you are going to Ontario, it makes sense to purchase health insurance for 90 days because OHIP will not cover you for the first 90 days. If you are going to Alberta/PEI, for instance, you need to purchase any insurance because the publicly funded healthcare will cover you from day 1.
