Rafzy mate- in the excitement I think you got your dates muddled!

I believe Rafzy got PPR on 19 January and app closed 20 Jan, not Dec. Like me, BGC was in progress for what seems like forever. I'm 3weeks and 1 day now.

As per my knowledge:
1) RCMP Criminal Record Check also includes a full electronic set of fingerprints on form C-216C taken by one of the accredited companies, your application form along with your ID proof is sent to RCMP for clearance check and then you get a Certificate from RCMP in your mail.
2) Whereas RCMP Fingerprints request is done by these accredited companies and you receive a copy of your fingerprints at the accredited company's office (you need to request a copy of fingerprints when you go for your Criminal Records Check they will print it off for you).

I received a copy of fingerprints as well when I got my RCMP Criminal Records Check done but only uploaded the Certificate which I received in my mail.

Ok. Thanks for your reply and your help. +1!!

Hi Raj,

Please update,
Medical - passed, BGS - not needed at this time.
Thank you

Thanks for the explanation. Does this mean there is some kind of investigation ongoing? :-\

This is common, I suppose. IRCC uses various channels to investigate and they do not want the public to know about what channels/nature of channels they use to investigate.

No the dates are not muddled. His dates are correct. I got my PPR on 20 December 2016 but on my CoPR and Visa Stamp in the Passport, the Visa issued date is 16 December 2016.

So when rafzy mentions COPR +Visa Approved as 20 December 2016, that means that's the date that is mentioned on his COPR and Visa Stamp in the passport. So his application was approved on 20 December 2016 but CIC sent him a PPR email about 1 month later i.e. on 19th Jan 2017. CIC basically wasted 1 month.

Oh my goodness- that is crazy that they can do that to people! Leave us hanging for a whole month when their decision has already been made? I have barely slept since my BGC went into progress. Their decision could have already been made, and I'm just waiting making myself ill with worry! I know Rafzy was also very anxious during the wait. How can they mess about with people's lives like that?!

Doesn't that also mean that you have less time to land, as surely they count from your visa stamp date, not pot mail?

Same here, i logged out and everything as well, i read on another thread dated from 2012 that for visa waived country all we need to do is send the photos along with the photocopies of the passport by mail, can someone verify if this is true, was this just before EE was introduced since it was 2012 and 2015 or does it still stand true to this day? I might call the paris visa office tomorrow to ask them in person or cic to just triple check.

Guys,

Draw No 53:

Cut off score: 453
No of ITAs Issued: 3508

Guess next time around the scores might come down well below 450.
