that is just an update from today.
This wording
Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

means Not started

In the new wording, is the background status 'not applicable' the same as 'not needed at this time'

Also the help text for eligibility now states 'When we have reviewed your eligibility, we will send you a message'. Does this mean that we can expect this to change to 'passed' at some point- or would remain under review till PPR like before?

The change of status changes everything. Our excel and myimmitrackers all are now obsolete (moving from this point onwards)

Background statuses now:
  • Not Applicable
  • Your Application is in progress. The next step is to conduct a background check.
  • We are processing your background check.

Most likely they correspond to:

NN
NS
IP

Respectively.

Same as me.
It is like, Not Started.

This is the NEW NS status.

I submitted my application on 18th December, 2016. Since then I haven't heard anything and all of a sudden i received email yesterday that they rejected my application because it is incomplete. They said that I haven't provided my marriage certificate which is not true. My marriage certificate was in my native language, so I hired a lawyer and translated it to English with all necessary stamp. I follow the actual procedure for that, moreover I used the same certificate when I sponsored my spouse as well as when I applied for my OOPNP. OOPNP approved my application and i was awarded with 600 points.

I dont understand what happens now and why they rejected my application. They could have asked me for more details rather than just rejecting it. I have soft copy as well as hard copy for the same.

Any suggestion..?

thanks for ur reply. I just have another questions though, I noticed other applicants have experienced BG NN-NS or NS -NN, but it looks like my application got those steps skipped. So I am assuming there's no way I can find out more specific status on my application like A11.2, R10 or if it has been transferred to local visa offices isn't it?

sorry to hear Sandy,

just to clarify: did you provide a notarized affidavit with the translation?

don't worry much, you can still re-apply (however sorry for the delay this did cause) just make a new profile and ask Ontario to transfer the nomination to that new profile, you'll be back on the boat in no time by God's grace.. just be sure to submit a legal translation together with the original in native language and notarized affidavit all scanned in color

Did you include the original as well as the translation when you uploaded it to IRCC for AOR?

Like maged_mmh said you can (and you should) reapply, however, before doing so find out the exact reason why they did note accept your marriage cert. so that you can correct that next time.
