As per the following link you can only apply for BOWP if you are on a work permit that is due to expire within four months
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/permit/extend/permanent.asp
However, I have been coming across posts on canadavisa that people are applying for this straight after filling PR application to ensure completeness check and their application is okay!? Should I go ahead anyways and apply for this even if I have more than 4 months of validity on my PGWP?
Please advise, thanks.
I think we need to raise this question to CIC or either local MP. It is not fair for PNP inland applicants to wait for no reason when they have waited long to get PNP while other apps are getting processed quick. if it is taking more than 3 months to get medical pass then for sure it will take more than 6 months to get final decision. I have called the CIC so many times they gave me the same answer file not touch wait for 6 months. October Applicants are still waiting for PPRwengehua said:Oh my god... almost 3 month passed!
I second that. It makes little sense to me delaying a particular streams unless I hear a better rationale. But escalating the matter through MP or any of those channels needs a collective effort.SAMCANADA_ON said:I think we need to raise this question to CIC or either local MP. Support, I see they really don't have much thought on how to handle PR process efficiently though they have improved some with web system.Mani.pradhan said:I second that. I wonder what 'collective effort' could have an impact. Should a bunch of people raise a CSE with the same question: "What the hell is going on with PNP-I?"tinaw2009 said:Support, I see they really don't have much thought on how to handle PR process efficiently though they have improved some with web system.
Hi,viveks said:Buddy jump up and down!! Forget the BG status. Congratulations on your PPR. Please update the tracker.
Congrats!hvm said:Hi,
I had one question, I got the PPR this morning and was about to send passport today. But I just realized I have to travel to Denver for an official trip on 6th March and will be back on 9th. I know the timeline provided is 30 days, but is it better to send it now ? I will have to convince my Boss so Im a little worried as to what should I do.
Please pl advise
Thanks
Thank you ! It's actually a sales conference at our head office i would love to postpone it if my boss agrees. If it's really preferred I could speak with him. I agree let's wait for more thoughts.andy108 said:Congrats!
Congrats!
well, i think there is no much difference as you have 30 days, but then if you can postpone you can win to birds, get passport and travel out and back.
Lets hear other opinion.
Thanks buddy, I hope so *fingers crossed*Yamama said:People who are doing it (like me ) are the one who are already eligible for BOWP . in your case you are not (i guess) if u still have more than 4 months left on your current permit. even if you apply they will reject it anyways .
So no need
As your stream is PNP inland your BG CHk is estd. to chnge by the end of march 1st week , I would recommend you to wait another week and if no change then apply for GCMS notes . I hope it will help
cheers
