Hi all,

Can I submit RBC (checking, savings, investment) account statements downloaded from internet banking portal for the past 6 months? Or do I have to go to the bank to request a certain type of letter to show as proof of financial means?

Thanks.

If you're applying under the CEC category you do not need a proof of funds.

My job is not LMIA-based, and therefore not a "valid" job offer.

Can you please point me to relevant webpage on CIC that says CEC applicants need not show proof of financial means? Did you go that route?

Sorry. Just found it on the "Proof of funds – Skilled immigrants (Express Entry)" page on CIC's website.

Thanks for your info.

According to the first paragraph in http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp, CEC applicants don't need to show proof of funds.

CEC applicants don't have a minimum fund requirement. If you put in an amount of money in your EE profile you'll be asked for proof of it, regardless. But if you're going CEC you can put in 0 and that'll be fine.
