Just read!
It says I have to stay for at least 3yrs before I apply for citizenship. However, a new bill was introduced by minister in 2002. If this bill gets passed in house of Commons, expect changes.

HTH!

Hmmm. Thank you for the information. I guess the CBSA gives everyone the same paper. I asked because I wanted to know if they count the time one stayed as a student or worker and how it factors into the citizenship timeline.

You can take the Photo from any Studio with the specifications. If you're in Canada let them know that the purpose (PR or Citizenship or TRV)exactly and they know it. If you're outside Canada click the following link: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/pdf/5445EB-e.pdf
Thanks jaffa83 for reply.

CIC had asked for RCMP criminal record check report as an additional document request for few people. For those who submitted it, did your MyCIC status update to "Provided" and then "We have received the document"? Any other updates?

My time line:
AOR - March 12, 2015
Medical Passed - April 28
Background - In Process - April 28

Does anyone knows what's next? It's seems to me upon reading the forum that PPR is next. Is this true? If it is, how much longer?

Thank you Guys!

Yes PPR is next. Based on the forum information, following is my understanding. Anyone can correct me.

Sometime after BG check changes to "In Progress" in MyCIC:
1. "Passport Request" email is sent to you and on the same day ECAS overall status changes to "In Process" (from Application Received), a fourth line gets added "a decision has been made".
2. After they receive your passport, within few days (~1 week?) your MyCIC status would say Application Status => Closed, BG check => Complete, Decision made => Approved.
3. As you finish your landing formalities ECAS status will keep updating.

Note: The above assumes you don't get any additional document request. If you did, then only after you submit it and its all good for them you can expect passport request.

Regarding how long after BG changes to in-progress do we get PPR, there is no exact time. It varies with people and depends on the number of pieces of information they have submitted part of required documents upload. The more required, different pieces of information you have submitted, the greater the scrutiny and assessment/verification that may be required from their end. Just my thought.

This week will be three months since we uploaded all the documents and paid the fees. We haven't got any changes yet, what's going on? this is getting frustrated.. should I call CIC to see if there is something wrong? or they will just tell me to go online..

Thank you so much! :)

There are no documents are being asked at the moment. The status is what I said earlier. It was April 28 when they all updated my CIC account. So hopefully PPR is next. I just pray and hope it will be soon! ;)

I believe they were not following the consistencies of MYCIC and ECAS looking at the trends so far. So, don't just look for ECAS status and decide anything, but rely on MYCIC which is the final destination for EE. Any communication is through MYCIC for EE from APR submission to PPR Request.

Haaaaa haaaaa haaaaa. I am not guru. But I think u ll get passport request by May 31st. Just reply me once if u really get it before the said date. Just an assumption. good luck. Good luck to everyone

Is there anyone who sent RCMP as additional document already got a PPR?
CIC gave 60 days to submit this, does it mean that it will take 60 days to reopen the file?
'Review of Submitted Document' still Provided.
