Declining the ITA should put you back in the pool again with the fixed score, where you could be invited again when it meets the threshold. That is the right thing to do.s-r-z said:Senior members,
I made a horrible mistake in my EE profile, I put my age 1 year younger, and I realized it after I received my ITA. Fortunately just before submitting my application I realized it. Now the problem is because of that 1 year, a 5 points will be off and my final score will be 449, one point lower than 450 which was the threshold of the ITA at the time I received it.
What you think, I should decline the ITA, just because of 1 point?
And what happens after decline, should I make a new profile or the current one will be still active?
Today I called the CIC call center, the lady told you are OK since you already got ITA! But I believe she did not have a clear picture of the ITA system. Finally she told me to submit a Case Inquiry, which I did.fkl said:Declining the ITA should put you back in the pool again with the fixed score, where you could be invited again when it meets the threshold. And yes you should decline it. If you don't CIC most likely is going to calculate your points again, even at the time of application submission, would compute the correct points and age, check what was the cut off for that draw and would cancel / decline your application.
