Express Entry Applicants from Jamaica

My application was updated yesterday evening, background check IN PROGRESS (April 1/2, 2016).

I did not receive a notification email though, I jus checked MYCIC this morning and saw the update.

Does this mean things like my proof of funds and job letter are ok??

Please see my timeline in signature.

Hoping for the best and wishing everyone the same.

Thats a good sign based on current trends. I see where many outlanders and Jamaicans before us (without Provincial Nominations) got to four or five months and got PPR around that time.

No I did not pay upfront ( the $490), I just paid the $550.


I pray that it happens soon - need to know that I have a way out of this.

Hi Guys:

Been Busy getting things together to leave Jamaica. I sent my passport to Trinidad and got it back in 10 days. I am scheduled to land on May 25, 2016 so I will post here as soon as I am settled. TishFaith your time is coming just keep the faith.


Are there any heads up you would like to give us still residing in Jamaica?


Any thing we should be doing while we wait out the process based on what you have learnt?
