Yeah, but we all know that retakin the IELTS is at LEAST a year from now ???

You can get dates abroad. So if you're planning to travel then you can do the test while you're away.

Hi,
UWI is doing additional IELTS exams that are not advertised.
You need to go in and speak with them if you want them to find a date for you.

Call & ask for a lady named Angela. She's a very nice person, the others tend to just tell u that there are no dates available. Angela however tends to work with you in finding a date.

Guys based on the rounds of invites its clear ppl with low 400s dont stand a chance getting an invite at all. I maxed out at clb 9 so it seems if I want to get invited I may have to consider the study in canada option. Oopnp seems to have given out all the PT invites.

If you do a one year course in Jamaica you'd increase your points dramatically. Doesn't have to be a Masters, a certificate from a recognised community college would work.

Actually yampower I have bachelor plus acca clb 9. So I have capped out on those points. I'm.married but those points are limited. Still would get me past.420. I'm thinking that one yr Canadian exp equals 35 points so maybe I.shd consider the school n open.permit route. My problem is my son will be 19 next year. :(

Maybe you could do that yes, one year of school might do the trick. My only concern is what will happen after the October election. If the NDP wins (Tories not looking good right now at all) there might be changes to immigration policy.

I was very, very nervous about that yesterday too. But the reason for the rejection was clear. As long as all i's are dotted and all t's crossed you should be ok.

Let's hope it rains PPR for us. April AOR people waiting long enough now man

My situation is similar to that person. I had only 50% of the funds in my account for the past 6 months and deposit the remaining portion prior to my bank statement. I have reasons to be worried :'( :' Didn't gave a LOE, so IDK.

Yow mi ECAS; In Progress August 16, 215 after back ground check since May 30. Praying!!!!

Your AOR was back in February. Wow, dem mek you wait long! Are you FST? Seems that FST is lowest priority which is odd and not quite fair.

But you provided a statement. BTW, was the deposit before or after ITA?

Had to butt in here.

In my case, I suspect the LOE did not make it (and I did not add 6 month bank statements because the LOE was supposed to explain the fact that my father clearly did a wire transfer into my account on a certain date and that explained the unreasonably large present balance as compared with the 6 month average balance).

It might not matter even if you did not add an LOE provided you gave 6 months of stamped and signed bank statements. Basically, if you have proved that the funds belong to you and there is not the slightest hint of borrowings, you are safe.

All the best!
