Hi People from Jamdown!,

I am here with a CRS score of 379 Sitting in the EE pool since January 2015. I have good IELTS Scores and a Bachelors degree in Engineering plus a Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology with 8+ years of experience. Any advice how i can have my CRS improved... It does not seem the CIC will be hitting my number any time soon. Any Advice?

What you mean?
Doesn't it take two months/eight weeks to do the document evaluation and then generate the ECA report?

What were your ielts scores? Also did you do a 3 year diploma then a 4 year bachelor's or did you do an additional 2 years to get the degree after the diploma? Your score should not be so low with 2 qualifications and good ielts scores

Yes Yampower,

I possess a 3 year Diploma and a 4 year Bachelor's Degree. My overall Band IELTS Score was 7.... L:7, R:6, W:6.5, S:7.5 ... i'm as baffled at the CRS Score of 379 as you are.. but i guess my lack of canadian experience my be my contributor.

Those ielts scores aren't great to be honest. I strongly suggest that you do it over. You want to get 8.0 for listening aND 7.0 for everything else. Did you prepare for the test?

The reason the score is so low is because of the ielts. You would see a big boost in the score with better grades. It would be good if you could do over the test asap even if it means flying out. It's that serious.

Wow! That is something else! Yeah I prepared! But forking out another $30+K JMD isn't attractive to be honest. However, I will take your advice in consideration cause I kinda figured that was the reason. Thank you for your advice much appreciated!

Wow! I check and all the dates are really gone! Well, in that case I'm going to ride out this one and continue my Job search in the interim. Im not alone at that CRS hopefully before the year is out they consider the below 400 CRS candidates. Sigh!
