Thanks YamPower. I did check Ecas as well. There are three lines there the last being "medical results have been received".Upon logging in it states "application received".

It seems that you're in Canada though. No applicant outside Canada has their BG check set to In Progress until they're almost about to get PPR.

Drop down mi out fi drop down. In the old system the Kingston Visa Office called people on the phone and emailed them about the passport request. Everytime mi see a strange number mi get jumpy LOLOL!

LOL...I just keep checking cic to see if there are any updates before they email me. Just want the wait to be over .

Man I know the feeling. The wait is a killer. I finally got my work permit approved (took 4 months) in early June and am leaving in the middle of next week. Will do the English test in Canada and then enter the pool. Am in no rush since i have a LMIA and am guaranteed an ITA once I enter. Really glad we have this thread.

Man I know the feeling. The wait is a killer. I finally got my work permit approved (took 4 months) in early June and am leaving in the middle of next week. Will do the English test in Canada and then enter the pool. Am in no rush since i have a LMIA and am guaranteed an ITA once I enter. Really glad we have this thread.

Glad to see that you finally got through. That took much longer than it should have. Just make sure the job letter you get states that it's a permanent job. People have been rejected for having LMIA for seasonal/temporary work.

That means I may get my PPR soon then. I submitted by documents in April but it says application received Mar 13. That's when I expressed interest.

im a lil confused how is it that u guys are seeing march dates? im seeing may and thats when i submitted my app. is it that you guys submit application n then documents or is it that u guys submitted previous applications from last year. cant do the maths cause i submit my EE app in february n got ITS march 27 submit app may 12. There is a budding theory that inland applications are handled differently than those coming from outside Canada. Thathe might be one of the ways. I'm seeing first line saying March 2 and processing starting March 3. I've never applied to cic before for any kind of visa.

Yes I heard that too YamPower. Hipchick I Submitted my profile on March 13 and that's the same date that ECAS has for when they received my application and when they started processing. I got invited on March 27 and submitted my documents on April 13. I am glad they are using the date I submitted my profile as oppose to when I submitted my documents. It may not make a difference but if it does that's two weeks difference

I this read somewhere recently:

"What is commonly known as Show Money for Canada is technically called Canada Settlement Fund."

Retirement Plan - If you work in a Company that offers its employees a retirement Plan, and you are already eligible to receive the benefits of the program (early retirement plan for example)you can ask your Human Resource Department to issue a Certification, in your companies security papers (Official Letter head) that you are already eligible to receive the amount allotted to you (net of obligations-loans, cash advances and the like), at any time that you choose to retire. But since the Visa office of Canada is aware that not all companies offers this program to its employees, I would say it is safe to use this if your Company belongs to the Top 5000 corporation of your country.

Is this option still valid as Proof of settlement Funds for Canada? As this only way I can come up with the ~$12000 CAD (~$1.2 mil JMD).
