1 - No. SPP do not have the characteristic of cashing the money at any time. You cannot transfer it today to your checking account, or cashing it today.
The rule is: Your money must be free to be transfered today.
Do not risk it.

2 - In Rio, they cost up to R$700 and are not covered by any medical plans.

Good luck!

1) Yeah... like I said, may be with some very clear documentation, but best not to risk it!

2) Ouch, that much!!! Over here (SP) I got mine for R$400 (usually R$500) because I know the doc, he is my GP and coincidentally does these exams for IRCC. But R$700... FACADA!!! Or is that 700 with the blood tests and xray?

About the medical exam, I did mine in Curitiba and it cost me R$ 575,00, including blood tests and the X-ray.
BUT, in my case, the doctor asked me to arrange a "specialist report" from my endocrinologist and so I paid more R$ 400,00 for a last minute consultation to get this report done.

This is so cool!!! A group just for applicants from Brazil!!

Are there any nurses among the people in this group??? Anyone with NNAS experience??

You probably have a condition that required extra tests, so it's bound to be more expensive.

Hmm OK... Well like I said the consultation in SP is R$500 and the exams are covered by Health Plan (Plano de Saude) so long as the Doc allows you to do them where your health plan covers them you're okay.

I remember doing it in Rio in 2010 for a WP and the doctor said I had to do the exams in a partner lab that did not take health plans, since at that time my employer was paying for everything I just did as i was told.

Hello guys!

I´m sitting at 451 (FSW) and expect to get my ITA next wednesday!!!! Really anxious!! Pray for meeee!

One question: how long is it taking to process the PR card? Average.

Thanks!!!

Opa bem vindo! :D
Thought maybe a letter of explanation signed by my supervisor (same who will sign my reference letter) would do it, but it's better not to risk it.
I was expecting something around R$ 900 for exams, so that's good to hear.
Thanks guys!

Need some help for proof of funds!

Does anybody know if money in the Tesouro Direto counts?

Thanks!

No it doesn't... It needs to be in your bank account! Unless it shows up in your bank statements and the bank is willing to say that the funds are unencumbered and readily available.
