Thanks for the response!

Regarding 1) - did the officer asked you if you were leaving back to Brazil and then coming back later to Canada? How was the conversation?

For the good to follow, the only things I am really taking to Canada are laptops and cellphones, nothing else. Do you have to disclose clothing items as well?

He didn't ask, I said it. "I'm doing a short landing now, as you can see I had less than 30 days to make it here"
Where he said: "But do you want me to mail your PR card to this Adress?"
"Yes, I do"
"Ok, you have absolutely all the rights to leave Canada, but we recommend you to remain in Canada until your PR card arrives. If you do have to leave Canada, this Confirmation of Permanent Residence paper does not grant you the right to enter Canada. You have to either have your PR card or request a travel authorization prior to your coming to Canada. Do you understand?"
"Yes, I do. "
"Ok. Welcome to Canada!"

Mari!

So nice to see you back here! For Itaú it's simple, just tell you manager you want a letter like this one here:

http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-YYvfwhaiZE0/Vikniw1SpFI/AAAAAAAAIZQ/N3MqNzGhufk/s1600/Atestado%2Bde%2BIdoneidade%2BIta%25C3%25BA%2B-%2BModelo.png

That should suffice.

Hurry and and get your AOR in Jan so that we can be in the same thread again!!! ;D

Thanks, Peter! I sent my manager an e-mail. Let's see if she's nice enough to respond in time! She doesn't actually have an office where we can drop by, she's what they call a virtual manager, so that shjould make the entire process even more fun for me... :P

I'm trying to hurry! Tell our OINP friends to wait for me! LOL My thread has mostly applicants from India, none of whom seem to be a provincial nominee. They are really just getting started with the process of gathering docs, etc, and I can't really relate to their reality most of the time...

So I'm going through the list of docs to upload and suddenly realize it says "Police Certificates (Multiple). Can any of you tell me if you got the same request, in case you haven't lived abroad since you were 18? I have visited the US a bunch of times, no sure if the total time exceeds the 6 month limit. Just wondering if any of you might have gotten the same request and if so, did you submit just the one from Brazil and was it ok? Starting to freak out, please advise...

Relax. Everybody gets this. If you haven't lived more than a year abroad (several trips to the us doesn't count as living abroad) you just have to upload your certificate from the federal police and its translation

Thanks, Edilson, I was really freaking out over this! :)

Hi guys, I just got the ITA as FSW, I was wondering if you guys only send the letter from the bank as proof of funds, or if you had some extracts from the bank translated as well.

One other thing, we recently got the medicals done for the study/open work permit (we started that process as the express entry slowed down last year), can we use the same exam for express entry? Maybe I should call the VISA office in SP to ask..

About the letter, it's enough, as long as it lists your account balance for the last 6 months (not detailed transactions) and states that you have no debts.

As for the medicals, the correct one for EE is "work" for the PA and "family" for the spouse and dependents. If this isn't the kind of examination that you've got, I believe you're gonna need new ones. But I would contact the VO nonetheless.

After the change on 15th Dec 2016 you can no longer do FAMILY upfront. This has lead to much confusion amongst EE people needing to do upfront medicals. Fact is, now people are doing Worker(Non EDE) for PA and Spouse and visitor/student for accompanying children... Seem to be working, I think at present they will accept any kind of medical you can do as they do the same initial tests for all...

Congrats on your ITA. Like Skywalker_RT said the letter is enough so long as it has your balances for teh last 6 months... Basically you need something like this - http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-YYvfwhaiZE0/Vikniw1SpFI/AAAAAAAAIZQ/N3MqNzGhufk/s1600/Atestado%2Bde%2BIdoneidade%2BIta%25C3%25BA%2B-%2BModelo.png

As for medicals how long ago did you do you medicals? If it was 1-3 months then I think it's OK to go with them, if it's been more than 6 months then you'll need to redo them. The problem you may encounter if your medicals are like 5 months old is that you'll have less time to land... The medicals are valid for 12 months, after which you'll need to redo them if you visa is not ready (like our friend lbrambilla here). The whole PR processe USUALLY takes 6 months... So basically if you still have 7 months left on you medicals then you risk only having ONE month to land once you get your PR VISA.

Hi, all!!
Congratulations to all who already got PPR!!

I got my e-APR/AOR today :D

Can you please include me in the general list?
