In my case the wife has put her foot down on Toronto! But we'll probably eventually settle on smaller town in the Greater Toronto Area... Still, it's so far away for me (time wise) that I'm not really thinking about it yet... hehehe

Good choice, Toronto sounds great! My husband and I are going for the confort of a smaller town with most of the ammenities of a big city, if you will. We have two toddler girls, so've been looking into which schools are best ranked in the area and othe things like that. As you know, moving day is still super far away for me too, but it's what's keeping me busy these days (or I'll loose my mind waiting for OINP lol). I never miss an episode of "Property Virgins" on Fox Life! :D

In my case, we are going to GTA.

We want to stay around North York area. Quiet and close enough from downtown.

We will land on the 26th, and will come back for final arrangements. Dont know when we will move for good yet.

26th of this month? So soon?

I think you need to say if there is unaccompanied baggage when you land right?

Or can you and land to look around and get settled and then come back and then claim you have unaccompanied baggage?

My medicals expire on the 28th, so there is no other option.
I am reading about it now. I can make a list of everything that I have and plan to bring to canada, and I can enter with them whenever I feel like it. Apparently, thats the process.

I will be there for just one week, to do the landing process, open bank account, get my SIN number and then come back That's all.

Excellent! Well I wish you all the best and a successful journey... I'll be following your footsteps next year if OINP nominate me soon... :-)

That sounds like an excellent plan, but you need to make sure that there is good supply for jobs in you areas, have you looked at that for London, ON?

Hope you get a lighter timeline! Everything will workout!

Wow, one year post nom has got to be rough! Good for you things are finally happening! Wish you all the best on your new life in Canada! GTA sounds great.

On the other hand, if nothing has changed in SP's VO, an it looks like nothing has, We are looking at some serious waiting time post NOM/ ITA... This is so frustrating...

What do you think to do with your PR Card? Because you will need it to come back to Canada later.

Thanks nonnemacher!
For now, I am worried about the weather! Haha
But we can definitely talk a bit - I will probably need all the help I can get.
Maybe we should start a WhatsApp group.

I have a friend living in North York.
I'll have him mail it to me so I can go back. If they don't allow me to request a PR card at landing, I will have to leave Canada and request a travel authorization. Those are my options.

Our ETAs are very similar, so I guess my passports should arrive soon as well! But since I did not send them by VAC I cannot track.

I will be going to GTA most likely and I want to do the same as you, to have a friend mail the PR back to me. Do you know if usually that is OK? I heard that getting a travel authorization can be a hassle sometimes.
