Check-in! PPR! 6 months and 2 days. \o/

Congratulations munhozdiego!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D

Taking account last PPRs, Sao Paulo Visa Office is taking longer than usual to analyse our process.

Olá pessoal. Apliquei como FSW Outland.

ITA: JAN
AOR: 24/02
BGC: Not Needed at this time
PPR: ???

Pelo que vi nas mensagens, está chovendo PPR para os AOR de janeiro. Estou ansioso para chegar minha vez!

Meus planos é estar em Toronto em setembro.

Abraço.

Guys,

I am going nuts here, can someone please advise? (sorry if this has been clarified before and I missed)

My profile: PNP, Outland, AOR Jan-03, BG "in progress" Jun-24, resident in São Paulo. Clearly, I am beyond the 6-month mark already. I follow another thread here where most people are from India (New Delhi VO) and they got a rain of PPRs yesterday and today. The thread is "AOR JAN 2016 - let's get together" if any of you want to check. Some of them got their BG in progress between June 24th-July 1st and already got the PPR.

Except for me yet :(

So my questions are: 1) Where is the BG Check processed anyway? In the VO (São Paulo in my case) or in Ottawa?; and 2) Is anyone here with a timeline similar to mine suffering too?

Many thanks!

According to the GCMS notes I got a couple of weeks ago, my application is being processed in Ottawa.

I am a FSW outland living in Rio de Janeiro.

I think my BG Check was processed in Ottawa. I cannot confirm, as I asked for GCMS notes too early, but my BG Check changed to "In Progress" on the same day it changed for a lot of Inlanders and I received the PPR at the same day these same Inlanders received their PPR's, so it really seems my applications was being processed in Ottawa. But my PPR email came with the Sao Paulo address...

I'm not a 100% sure about this, but that's what I saw happening with most of the applications:
First, it goes to Ottawa, so they can check if it's missing any document and if all the credentials are OK. Also, for those who lived in Canada, CIC will do a background check locally. After that, they will send the file to: a) the country you are living right now; or b) the country where you are from. So the V.O from that country can do their own background check, based on your work experience and the time you have spent living there.

But again, this is just a rule of thumb. It doesn't mean it happens every single time. CIC is reallocating applications all the time. I remember a guy from India that his V.O was Manila, even though he have never been there.

By the way, did you apply for the GCSM notes? If you didn't, I would advise you to do that.

I hit 4 months of waiting yesterday.

I don't want to give you a bad news but, I think you should wait a PPR near six months (before or after).
I have hit 5 months and 1 week. There are Brazilians almost at 6 months.

GCMS notes just arrived.
Apparently 11.2 OK and my case was transferred to Sao Paulo Visa Office since 01/06/2016.

Why is SPVO taking so long on our process?
