Express Entry and Spouse Sponsorship?

Hi,

I am looking at applying for PR through the Express Entry and Spouse Sponsorship methods and wanted to find out if there are any issues applying for both concurrently? If my Express Entry application is not successfull will this impact negatively on my spouse sponsorship application?
