Hello,
I am an international student, living in Canada since Aug 2017. I will graduate in Aug 2018. I have my student permit valid till Dec 2019. I have already applied for PR (current score is 425), and am planning to update my PR application once I graduate (in Sep 2018) since my score would then become 491 (after obtaining Masters degree from a Canadian University). I want to know:
1) Can i apply for PGWP once I get my final transcript (in Sep 2018) even when I have an active Express Entry profile? Are there any chances of rejection of PGWP (a temporary work permit) when I have an active permanent residence application?
2) I have been offered a part-time job by a Canadian employer (without Labour Market Assessment). I have a joining date in August 2018. I am on a student permit currently and I am eligible to work for 20 hours per week, however, since my program is getting over in Aug, I fear if I am eligible to take this offer up before I submit my application for PGWP. Please confirm if someone know about this!
