Hello,
I am an international student, living in Canada since Aug 2017. I will graduate in Aug 2018. I have my student permit valid till Dec 2019. I have already applied for PR (current score is 425), and am planning to update my PR application once I graduate (in Sep 2018) since my score would then become 491 (after obtaining Masters degree from a Canadian University). I want to know:
1) Can i apply for PGWP once I get my final transcript (in Sep 2018) even when I have an active Express Entry profile? Are there any chances of rejection of PGWP (a temporary work permit) when I have an active permanent residence application?
2) I have been offered a part-time job by a Canadian employer (without Labour Market Assessment). I have a joining date in August 2018. I am on a student permit currently and I am eligible to work for 20 hours per week, however, since my program is getting over in Aug, I fear if I am eligible to take this offer up before I submit my application for PGWP. Please confirm if someone know about this!

Hi

1. You don't have an active PR application. You simply have an EE profile submitted. No effect on a PGWP app.

2. You can continue to work 20 hours a week until you receive written confirmation of program completion. You can work full-time once you have applied for your PGWP. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/temporary-residents/study-permits/campus-work.html#off-campus

I really appreciate your quick response!
What exactly is the difference between "active EE" and "PR application submission"? I am doubtful about this because my husband had applied for a visit visa to attend my graduation ceremony in Oct 2018 and his application was rejected last month stating that wife has an active EE.

To have an active PR app, you need to actually receive an ITA and apply for PR.

What if we have received ITA and pr in progress, will it have any effect on Pgwp? Please help

Hi, I'm on the same case. Im doing my 2nd program to be eligible for 3 years PGWP and my husband is with me on an OWP. Will creating an express entry before graduating affect my application for pgwp and my husband's OWP/visitor visa (if i dont have noc0AB job)? Will the IRCC refuse our application?
