Hi Raj,

Could you let me know of a website where I can calculate my CRS ?
Do we need to go through a consultancy to increase our chances and if yes can you suggest me some which you might have approached and seems trustworthy?

Thanks!!
Hi,

Please use the below link to calculate your CRS.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp

Points depend on your IELTS score, your work experience, your academics and so on. No one can "increase" your score but you.

Thanks,

Raj

For Express entry, the minimum scores for IELTS is L-7,S-7, R-7, W-7. Just try inputting these scores and it will be eligible.

You have to try sitting for another exam.

cheers
Just to make it more precise, it should be CLB7 in each of LRWS or IELT6.

You need your IELTS test score and one year of continuous work exp in the last 10 years to be eligible for express entry.

This is a very broad question with very little information. Without the breakdown of score 393, how can anyone suggest how to improve the score?

From the points for his age, I understand he is single and not yet married. Based on this assumption, easily he can re-take IELTS to improve his score. Maximum score is 160 for singles and he currently has 125 for language proficiency. Apart from this, improving in other criteria is all time consuming.
However, if we take that he scores very well in IELTS and gets all 160 points, still his score will be 438 and so far since EE went live, the lowest score for the ITA was 453 and it doesn't look likely that it will come down below 450 anytime.
So my advice would be if he can invest in IELTS, take the test to improve the score and in the meantime keep looking for PNP programs and if he is eligible, apply as if he succeeds in this, he will get 600 points from the nomination from the respective province.

Hey Guys,
I had a few questions if anyone can help me with:

1. Do we need to do the ECA before creating the EE profile ?

2. How can I get my NOC Code? I have done my BE in Electronics and Telecommunications.

3. Do we need to create a separate profile for Provincial Nomination and how can I get provincial nomination ?

4. Would it be wise to create the EE profile myself or should I take help from some external experts?

Thanks!!

Yes, ECA and IELTS both are mandatory before creating EE profile.

2. How can I get my NOC Code? I have done my BE in Electronics and Telecommunications.
NOC is dependent on your occupation.Check here - http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/noc.asp

3. Do we need to create a separate profile for Provincial Nomination and how can I get provincial nomination ?
Yes, its separate application for provinces and it depends on which province for the application. Some provinces are online and some are still using snail mail. Check here for more info on provincial programs - http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/provincial/

4. Would it be wise to create the EE profile myself or should I take help from some external experts?
You can create the profile yourself. No need for external experts.

Thanks!!

More EE points on individual basis or married (spouse) basis.

Please guide!
Though the points for human capital will be slightly lower if you are married, but overall it should not make a difference if your spouse is also educated and has given IELTS (as she/he will also be given points in the EE profile)

And just to clarify if you are married you cannot hide that fact from CIC and will have to declare it in your EE profile and be scored accordingly. Basically what I mean is that it is not a choice what scores you want to claim in terms of 'individual' or 'married' basis!
