its gonna add another 10 points with ECA for your spouse education; however its wise to better ur score through other channels

eg: language ability

Wish EE would invite from the bottom. Like the less point you score the quicker the ITA occurs. :P
I got only 276 pounds :P :P

Just got it...Updated mine..I have 440 points ; not sure if this is good.
But if my spouse can give IELTS exam and score good, I cna et another 12/20 points.. As of now she has not given IELTS..

Sir, if you have any link in related with the above comment pls share so everyone will be informed.
Honestly, I am glad that ECA s not required as it will take so much time as we have to wait another month for that.

You are wrong. ECA is currently one of the minimum requirements for FSW, regardless of the stream one is applying for. If one doesn't have canadian education then ECA is mandatory.

Edit: Upon re-checking the published gazette, it is clear that language test and ECA of foreign degree are both mandatory to apply to be in the express entry pool.

Please confirm my understanding. Proof of funds is no longer needed. (?) ::)

No. What has been released right now is the points scheme for express entry. The minimum requirements to qualify for applying to be in the pool is yet to be announced. It could remain the same as now or it could be different. Either way, proof of fund will most likely be required. In fact, every category that has minimum requirement in the current FSW program will most likely have a minimum qualifying criteria in 2015 as well.

I guess proof of funds will be required after you're given an ITA (invitation to apply). Once you're invited you will have 60 days to submit a complete application for permanent residency, as well as all the necessary documents supporting that application.

My guess is that, at this stage (submitting an application) it'll most likely be the same as it is today. Filling out forms, attaching the documents and mailing them to Nova Scotia. The difference would be that you're pre-approved. As long as all of your forms and supporting documents are ok there should be no reason to be denied permanent resident status.
Or, maybe, the whole system will be like the Saskatchewan PNP system. Everything will be online, even document submittion (scan them all and upload to the correspondent form page).

If, by any chance, an employer happens to choose you amongst all the other candidates, and offers you a job, then proof of funds won't be necessary. Not sure on how it'll work if you're picked by a province, but probably you'll still have to provide proof of funds.

As announced, the whole application process is supposed to be online, no paper involved (same as Australia).

What is meant by picked by Province ? What is the procedure to be picked/nominated by a Province instead of job offer ?
