Hello all

My card expired but had to travel(the new card is yet to be renewed or received but sent already for renewal)

Travel document is taking long time..

Can I apply for a transit or visit visa to the US and go by car ? Or US might refuse it because of the expired card? Any experience ?

Also would canada allow me to enter with a rented car or would define it as a commercial vehicle and ask for a valid pr card ?

I met the residency obligations before my travel

I can't answer your question about the US visa.

Canada will allow you to enter using a rental car and your COPR. A rental car is considered to be a private vehicle. So you are good from that perspecitve.
