Hi
Can anyone please advise me, I just submit my work permit in High Commission Singapore. They took my application and told my that 'anything they would just write to me'
Does anyone had applied here? And was wondering how long does the process will take.
Does anyone get rejected?
Please share your experiences.
Looking forward to your stories.

hi,

I did submit my application with CIC Singapore as well. Appreciate if you can share your experience and timelines,

thanks in advance,

Hi,

I just got our visa from the embassy last Friday. TWP application with SWOP and TRV. It took us exactly 8 weeks. They only asked us for a Police clearance from the cantonment office a day after the documents were submitted. I am sure they would be asking you about this as well so after you got the letter for request for police clearance, file your COC at once at the Cantonment office in Outram as processing takes 15 days plus the mail time to the embassy.

Hi Man415,

Congratulations! How many years valid is your work permit? Is the validity year same as the SWOP and TRV?

Hi Cabalen,

yup I forgot to get back to you. I have asked the officer at the embassy as I am the principal applicant will my wife and daughter be getting the same lenght of visa as I am. She said yes. My employer in Canada is also telling me the same. So I guess it is.

From what I know the validity stated on the passport is the time that you should enter Canada ( if im not wrong ) The Officer at the POE will determine how long is the WP will be given.

Thanks Man415! Is POE - point of entry? So the length of the WP will still be determined. But that's good news that you will have the same length of stay.

Hi Cabalen,

Yup point of entry. Yes the length of stay will still be determined but one thing is for sure that what is given to the principal holder ( I ) will be the same as my wife as she is under SOWP and my 2 year old daughter under TRV. I think there is a consideration with my daughter giving the same stay of length as I am as she is only 2 years old. I think if she is just a bit older like the one needed study permit, I am not very sure if the length of stay will be the same as I am.

Hi Man415,

that's good news!

may I ask if the embassy ask your wife and daughter to be present during the submission of your passports for visa stamping?

and is there no interview or whatsoever?

thanks in advance and regards! good luck!

Hi gio,

I think they may not be needed to be present to collect their visas. As a matter of fact it is written on the collection receipt that an authorized representative can collect it in your behalf. There is no interview or whatsoever because the visa is already attached to the passport. I am speaking from my experience. ;D

I am planning to lodge my application as soon as I have completed my requirements most probably second week of July in this visa office.
Hi man415, did the VO required you only police certificate? It is stated in the site that medical certificate, police certificate and interview "MAY" be required.
My NOC 6212.
Anybody here applied TWP in this visa office as well?
Any result so far?
Thank you in advance.

I have just lodged my TFW application at One George Street.
So far they have a drop box and you just drop in your application sealed in an envelope and presto.
It was posted there that along with study permit, the processing time is only 30 days. I asked some fellow TFW applicants and some of their friends had the visa even less than 30 days, no medical nor interview nor Singapore police clearance.
All the best to all.

Hi guys! good day to all!

I have an offer in Canada and I'm in the process of gathering my documents. I have a few left and I hope to submit my TWP and TRV for me and my family soon.

I just got some things that I need help with and I hope someone can help me here.
I have been working in Singapore for a couple of yrs now and my employer assigned me in Europe last April. I will submit my application in Singapore VO but I am not sure how to obtain a bankdraft bec. I called my bank in Singapore and they wont issue one if I will not be the one to pick it up personally. Question is, can I get a bankdraft from anywhere in the world to pay the visa fee?

Hope someone can help.

Hi joroz,
You can request somebody to help you take a cashier's order from OCBC for example, on your behalf. He will just go to OCBC and ask how to have a cashier's order and he will just fill up the form and que to the teller together with the cash. There's a S$5 charge.
I had mine in this bank but I had an account there.
