Experiences on applying WP in Singapore

At the CIC website here in SG, all work permit applicants must send only the copy of their passport, its personal page and all used pages. That's what I did Joroz.
No updates yet about my application. I am not fidgety about it since the timeline is clear that within a month there will be some news. After a month and don't have any updates yet, then that's the time I will go there personally to check. As of now, I am enjoying my remaining days in Singapore, studying the Labor Standards of Alberta, the rights and obligations of a foriegn worker and so on.
Its better to be overly informed ))

i will be submitting mine within this week, I have some more questions for you. In the part of what type of work permit are you applying?, there is no temp. work permit, what did you chose? other?

then in the additional information form, im confuse on the 2nd page, the details of education and employment. does it mean all of those listed, my wife, parents, kids and siblings? if so, do i need to submit supporting documents for them?

completing this application is stressing me out...i just want to complete and submit it so i can relax. ;D

Sorry it took time for my reply.
I had my visa already last July 18, and I flew here in Alberta last week of August.
I'm sure you've got the answers already to all your queries.
Any updates from the High Commission about your application?

I received a request for CoC and have already applied.

Were you asked to submit CoC as well?

Now my issue is that SPF gave me a collection slip for my CoC but in the High Commission website written that SPF will mail the CoC directly to the Embassy.

When I asked the lady who attended my application, she told me that they only do that if the request is from overseas.

Should I enquire to the embassy or just submit the CoC to them on my own?

Yeah I received coc request from the high commission to spf,
after submission which took 10 working days, passport request already and visa.

coc is certificate of clearance like nbi in phil. for foreigners who stayed in sg for at least 6 months.
Spf is singapore police force.

just got my coc today..but CHC is on holiday...

did they request for your passport the same day you submitted your coc?

how many days after for collection?

Im going to submit the coc personally so I plan to bring our passports as well..in case..

Hi! I may have a chance to get a work in CANADA (Calgary). But I'm still waiting for the official offer letter to come within the week.

Can you tell me what are the requirements in applying for work permit?

You can already start applying for your NBI clearance and prepare other documents. Some documents takes time to prepare..

edmonton will be my destination...but i have a some friends in calgary..

Yes. Police Certificate = NBI Clearance for Philippines.

Who needs a police certificate?

In general, you and everyone in your family who is 18 years of age or over need to obtain a police certificate. You must obtain a police certificate from each country or territory where you have lived for six consecutive months or longer since reaching the age of 18.

The certificate must have been issued no more than three months before you submit your application.

If the original certificate is neither in English nor in French, submit both the certificate and the original copy of a translation prepared by an accredited translator with your application.

Hi joroz,

Same time i submitted my coc i passed also my passport as per their request. You have submit it on tue, wed, thurs at 830 to 930 then they will give you a small sheet of paper to collect your passport in the afternoon at 230 to 330.
