In his letter to Mr McCallum, Trudeau stated that the following measure should be a “top priority” for the department of Immigration, Citizenship and Refugees: “Give additional points under the Express Entry system to provide more opportunities for applicants who have Canadian siblings.” It remains to be seen when any changes to the system may occur, and how exactly those changes will work with respect to the CRS as it functions today. At the 23rd Annual Immigration Law Summit held earlier this month in Toronto, Ontario, a spokesperson for Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) made some notable comments about the past, present, and future of draws made from the Express Entry pool. The main takeaway, however, is that the CRS point requirement for Express Entry draws is likely to go down.

Well the positive is that they are looking to reduce the scores. On the other hand, it seems more likely that people who have relatives in Canada will be given preference.
Which makes sense from a Canadian perspective but a total bummer to people like me. That being said, lets wait for the official news to come.
I suspect there would be 3-4 critical bits of news coming over the next 3 weeks (till mid - December) with regard to Ontario PNP, CIC quota and changes in EE if any.

Neel, I am not sure but I figure maybe the refugees would take up some part of the quota.
However, hopefully the processing next year is smoother and quicker!

I think, they will never mix other quotas with refugees. If this is true, then I feel CAP for CEC and FSW for 2015 are not reached.PiyushAgrawal06121985 said:
The scores would automatically come down in 2016 as the backlog from old files would have been gone by then.....Even if the new government don't take any measures, the score is bound to come down. It all depends upon their targets for 2016....I believe they still have enough people in pool that the score may not go below 400 even in 2016.
