Event on Pacific Standard Time

My application is processed at Vancouver office and I received an event notice on Pacific Standard Time. However, the date of the event is obviously in Pacific Daylight Time.
Should I attend the event on PST or PDT? It makes no sense to me if I attend on PST, but it's written that way.

Bro...chillout when in Pacific Daylight Time everyone refers to it as Pacific Standard Time so you are good.

I don't know where that convention comes from.
Pacific Time = PST from Nov to March and PDT from March to Nov
PST is always UTC -8 and PDT is always UTC -7. (edit: typo)
