Dear client,

Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada regarding an application for an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA).

Please note that we are experiencing some delay with the processing times for eTA applications.

Unfortunately the time frame is unknown.

We have received your uploaded documents. The application remains under review and you will be contacted if more information is required or once a decision is rendered on your application.

During the review of your file, you are not considered to hold a valid eTA. As such, you should not plan or undertake any travel to Canada until you are advised otherwise.

Great! So does this mean I should cancel my flight for 22nd Dec or not?

What are the conditions of your ticket / carrier? If you cancel now vs. a couple of days before the 22nd, is there a refund difference? If there's no difference, I would wait.

Problem is if I wait I won't get another flight on the dates I need. I will forfeit money either way. What a shambles
