The email you posted doesn't mention a ban, and it should have were you banned. I would try to get in touch with the visa office at the Canadian mission in Mexio.

Not good. I've sent a few enquiries to the local mission in mexico as the last email says thqt they are reviewing my case but the response is always the same. "Is under review"
What about you?
I'm waiting for my GCMS notes.
I'm trying to anticipate my next move, but I guess I have to wait.

It was imposible for me to contact them.
I recommend applying for the GCMS notes as a next step.

I have the same problem, I've travelled to Canada since 2017 staying from weeks to close to 2 months in Montreal with my now fiance (she is there with a work permit). On the day of my flight i was told my eTA was cancelled, checking it says:
"Your application has been cancelled for the following reason(s):
You have misrepresented yourself to obtain an eTA and are not authorised to hold an eTA under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act"
So I resubmitted for an eTA and got the notice that my case was diverted to the Canadian Mission in Mexico.

I am concerned as to why they would say i misrepresented myself, more concerned that reading in the IRCC page says they could ban me for 5 years.

Does any body know what to expect in time frame to get a response from the Canadian mission?
I have the same problem in October living from Mexico to Montreal Canada. 2hrs before living my ETA got canceled and I was told by the Airport in Mexico that I can't fly with them. And since then I have been trying to find answers to it. I had a lawyer to look at it for me. But he told me it will take up to 40 days to get reply from immigration.

Hey! I finally got my GCMS notes, but there was nothing there that explained the cancellation, but the lawyer noted that there was content removed...
So I'm back to the start.

There's always content removed in GCMS notes, due to security, law enforcement, and information sharing agreements.

Since you've got a lawyer involved, you should follow their advice.
