Hi!

Would someone tell me or know that the person with epilepsy well controlled by medicines shold have problems to get Federal skilled visa? What do they mean about disability persons, exept handicap,..?
Me and my husband are taking medicines every day, are current employed and having no problems.Do you think it maybe affect the Canadian social health? We need to know about, before spending a lot of money for application and other things.
I appreciate any answers.

In the DMP Handbook it says: "Question 2: Seizures, loss of consciousness or epilepsy
When there is a history of seizures, loss of consciousness or epilepsy, the details from the applicant should include the type of disorder, the age of onset, any precipitating factors, current drugs taken, and the frequency of attacks, severity and sequelae. The date of the last seizure should be noted."

From the above, and the history you have given, it does not sound as if your situation would put "excessive demand" on the health care system and it is certainly not contagious, but as I am not a DMP, I cannot say what the decision would be in the end.

I did a little research on this some time back and posted it here. http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/-t65953.0.html

Have not gone looking for the (1977?) legislation, but you may wish to try. All the best.

Kitty - Was everything ok with getting the PR.
My daughter had seizures at birth and she now has to get physical therapy done twice a week.
I was wondering when i put my PR application will it be denied.
