I have a quick question about my TRV application as visitor. My application was refused a few weeks ago under the grounds No enough ties in my country of residence and Purpose of Travel. I forgot to attach important information such as Employer letter, Flight booking as round trip, some evidences about my commitments in my country of residence, itinerary of activities to do in Canada, etc. (I am from Dominican Republic and both applications were online). So, I prepared a cover letter providing answers to the reasons they put in the refusal letter and attached a lot of information I did not put since the beginning and reapplied with new application fees. The submitted date of the 2nd application was last 02/28. Submission confirmation the same day. Biometrics were completed since I had a first application but I can see since Tuesday morning, my CIC account and notes are showing as following.
Review of eligibility We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements. Help - Review of eligibility
Review of medical results You do not need a medical exam. We will send you a message if this changes. Help - Review of medical results
Review of additional documents We do not need additional documents. Help - Review of additional documents
Interview You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes. Help - Interview
Biometrics We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes. Help - Biometrics

I know nobody can predict if a visa will be granted or not and I know processing time is now on 15 days applying from my country, but I am wondering it is taking that time with the same status. In my first application, I got a response with refusal in 5 days.
I have the intention to visit Canada during Easter Week vacation and I don't have more vacation until Christmas. if anyone of you have any comments or insights about my case, please let me know. Thank you!

This was the last message from VFS, then I just got the message from cic that there is a new message which was that I have to submit my passport.
Just to let you guys know that I have US visitor visa, student Visa and multiple Schengen and other travtr stamped on my passport. So I am assuming that is why my processing was faster. I am just sharing that you don't get worried about yours. I am assuming my Visa was processed under Can+.

Aah that explains ! After your post I researched what Can+ visa is... so that was pobably the reason for my quick processing. Same US & UK & Schengen multi entry visas & travelled as well...

We all made a mistake to deposit fee to VSF at biometrics time for SMS facility !
Why? -
There is ABSOLUTELY no information to be gleaned after biometrics from VFS.. as the biometrics data in any case is going to be submitted to Canada Embassy . And the result if the decision will be avalable to the applicant inline (¬ through VFS SMS)
Further, when I had gone to submit passport, I was told that the fee at the rime of Biometrics for SMS covered only till the processing of Biometrics- Thats ALL !
I was told to deposit SMS facility fee again for the passport delivery update...
So... basically- the SMS facility is not a facility AT ALL. & VFS had to make up some lines to put in SMS service to justfy their charges for the same. They just created this.. which infacf confuses us all- instead of facilitating us with an information that is ACTUALLY useful to an applicant to plan his/her trip etc...
My advise- do not waste your money on asking for SMS service at VFS AFTER BIOMETRICS.
Pay the SMS service fee at the time if Passport submissive so that you can plan your day of picking up the passpirt without hurry as you get the latest realtime information about your passport reaching VFS office for pickup.

I'm utterly stressed and don't know what's going to happen. Would the final decision message be posted online on CIC website itself? No passport request prior to the decision message is giving me a sleepless night. Please help me guys!

I also applied for my mother online & once I did post biometrics I got in total 3 mails from vfs.
You may get one more mail saying it is sent to ircc for processing.
At least I got it.
I am now waiting ......
Next from what I have understood, two things can happen ...
1) Passport will be requested and then a mail might come saying the envelope has been dispatched back to vfs .
2)Else no passport request and just a mail saying the envelope has been dispatched back to vfs and please collect it.
Processing times might vary.Stay positive.

Since my case is absolutely recent (less than a week- at Delhi), so I can throw light by seeing progression of my different stages of formalities...
Now you have to check online (no email & no SMS)
Either you will get rewuest/instructions to deposit passport OR you will ger the refusal.
So don't stress out. CHILL

I have reapplied after refusal because I forgot some important documents. At that time, I got refusal in 6 days. But now, I can see I have 11 days since I applied in the 2nd try and review of eligibility in review since 7 days ago. Do you think it would be a good signal that my application will be approved because the time they are taking to review my documents or do you think is the opposite? I have strengthen my application this time with a lot of documents and information I did not send for my first application and address the concerns of the refusal reasons. Please let me know your thoughts. @Bryanna OR another one who had the expertise of 2nd try after refusal if can provide a feedback.
