Does any1 know anything about traveling to India with surrendered Indian passport. ..if suppose my kids visa delivery is getting delayed(hoping not), can I take my kid with the passport with surrender certificate to India and ask someone to bring her Canadian passport to india after it's received...so when returning back I wil have the Canadian passport...can I travel with my Indian passport that's surrendered.

When did ur application reached in consulate.timming starts from consultae.Notginh to do with BLS
You will have to push BLS they are not processing applications fast enough...consulate max it should take is 5 working days

My postal application says under process,but dint say anything about consulate...what does that mean....
Consulate,sometimes they process fast...for some it dint...granting and printing took only 5 days..16th it has been even printed..but there has been no update regarding reaching the BLS office .. it's been 4 business days already..
Means its sitting at the consulate in a box,once checked by the consulate then things move fwd ...mine took 6 days from start to finish and still showing transfer to bls ..called them earlier they said it will take a whole day still to process and send by purolator
Today I called a customer care,asked him whether I can pick up my application once it reaches office. This customer care asked to give a call to the customer care,and will try to help out ..no idea wats true and wats not...6 days means from under process to consulate to printing...?..my walk-in from in consulate to printing took 5 days..and no news after that..its been 4 days already.
Yep same boat as you still waiting will go and stand in line today to see if i can grab it before they ship it out
Mine and my husband's have been at the Vancouver consulate for over a week. We have a wedding November 23-25. Needless to say, it looks like we are going to miss it. Everyone other person attending the wedding from Canada had theirs within 3 weeks. Today I called to see if I can fly to Surrey tomorrow to pick it up (we live in Saskatchewan and waiting on Purolator will add extra days). The woman at BLS continued to give me canned answers that did not answer my question. This is by far the most frustrating process ever.
Does anyone know how long from "granted and printed" to arriving at BLS (in terms of days?) I keep hope that I can at least attend 1 day of the wedding, but after a few stressful weeks, it looks like all my efforts are in vein. I don't think I'll ever want to visit India again after this experience, which is sad. I am completely soured by the utter waste of time from my work.
When did u passport reached at consulate and did u check status on indiavisaonline?and on bls status?
Passports only reached consulate on Monday, November 14, 2022. They sat at bls for close to 3 weeks! I have been checking both websites and both say "processing at consulate". I could not apply earlier, because I required my passport for work travel. I feel as though I have done everything possible, but nothing seems to be progressing.
One thing I should note is that all of the friends and family of the groom who were trying to attend the wedding in Delhi sent in their applications by post. When doing so, they sent a prepaid purolator package so that the completed visas could be shipped back. In each case, BLS demanded more fees for purolator, stating that "no prepaid envelope was sent". So this is either complete fraud or disorganization. I can't tell anymore.
I called BLS last week, status shows processing at Consulate and same thing they said processing at consulate, I don’t know who to cal and how, it’s been a month
I guess on Oct 24th, All my family who applied same day, received theirs, my other family applied10 days after me, they received theirs too
