Can someone share what is the process of applying entry visa ? Any blog that I can follow ?
Also, whats the timeline to get entry visa for Toronto region. I am expecting to get OCI card between Dec 1-5 based on current timelines but due to health issues, I would like to fly out ASAP.

I think you should get the OCI in time before you fly
For OCI in Vanc jurisdiction, we are all yet to hear any movement for Oct 4th Ack. As per the tracker for OCI in Vanc, it takes a min of 34 days.

As for Entry visa, I am the only one that I know here has applied for it this week. There were a couple who applied Oct 26th and oct 30th from Edmonton walk in and they got it in less than a week. But not sure about the timeline now. I applied from BLS Edmonton walk in yesterday and still waiting for an update . The lady in Edmonton BLS told me 10 days, but prior to walk in when I called BLS on phone, they said 30 days. So I was confused as well, but I took the chance and applied for entry visa. My travel is Dec 6. There is no tracker for entry visa for Vanc, yet. But so far in this blog including me its 3 people that I know of.

can we submit surrender certificate and entry visa at same time please advice

This is what information I read. Yes you can.
However, from the above link it seems its only for emergency purposes and visa will only be issued for 3 months.
BLS keeps changing their opinion depending on who you speak to. When I called them to check before I read Sapru's post, they said yes you can apply for entry visa with proof of SC application. But he never mentioned anything about emergency or 3 months only validity. Can someone please confirm this?

It is not allowed in BLS Brampton just wondering one member was allowed to do that but don't know how it is possible when it is not possible in other center

If you read the document checklist on BLS webpage. https://www.blsindia-canada.com/ottawa-jurisdiction/entry-visa.php

page: description page point f) says:
"In case the visa applicant has not surrendered the Indian passport and having the original passport, he/she may submit the application for Surrender / Renunciation Certificate and enclose copy of the payment receipt of submission of the surrender certificate application with the visa application."

@pgajiwala - did you try calling BLS? I’m not able to connect since yesterday.
No I haven't bit busy with work also I will maybe wait till EOD today or tomorrow before calling them. Also if your call gets disconnected before going on waiting list just try using other option like my be for surrender certificate or OCI

Any updates on postal applications? No action is making me think if they even will process it or not. This is highly unprofessional. Please keep posting any updates. Thank you!

Hi All,
I have a small question regarding place of birth having different spellings on canadian passport and indian passport. Do i need an affidavit mentioning both spellings are for one place for entry visa application? For entry visa application, they don't ask for indian passport. Does anyone have experience with this?

Contact of Notary if you are in Brampton https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-i...oard/threads/oci-process.254662/post-10377852
discuss with notary your requirement, they will draft the affidavit for you, if you are ok with the wording go and get the affidavit certified with the notary

Thank you very much for your help. Yes I got the email from that ID. BLS statu update still says " under process". So does not look like it has been sent to CGI yet ! Sigh.

Have to see if there is any progress today with our applications today. Not sure what pace I can expect here.
just checked and I got the granted not printed update

Guys
Just got the granted but not printed update. Do you think I will get the passports in hand before Friday? I am travelling on Monday (13th) Thank you
