I have a questions like most of us here.
We have appointment on Nov 7 bls toronto for oci. We are planning to apply for SC and Entry Visa at the same time. I'm hoping they will accept this?
Me and my gf have called in to bls to ask if we are able to use our oci appointments for entry visa. On my first attempt I was told it will be no problem. When she called in she was told she won't be able to use her oci appointment for entry visa and the guy convinced her to create and pay for the purolator labels. Once I heard I called again next day to check and was initially told it should fine. I pressed a bit more and told them my gf was told they won't accept visa application on oci appointment. This time guy put me on hold to confurm and cane back to tell me they won't accept my appointment if it's for oci.
I have read here they don't check what type of appointment you have, has anyone been refused for entry visa on oci appointment.
I don’t think so it should be a problem since it’s Toronto and they have all services in one building/office
Brampton becomes tricky because they have 2 different buildings

Thank you for the reply.
I was worried with the inconsistent replies over the phone in regards to the appointment.

Do parent need to sign below the thumb print on declaration page ??
and do we need to self attested all the photocopies ??
I applied for my infant son. I did not put thumb impression. Me and my wife both signed at the Applicant signature. Also I self attested all the photocopies attached.

Anyone knows what "Place of Issue" to write for eVISA held in the past? This is for last held VISA type and its details in entry visa application. The form really is not designed to handle eVISA as a category for previous VISA.
For an eVisa, the Find the “Place of issue-Indian visa” should be specified as the name of the Indian airport where the visa was granted. The official eVisa website of the Indian government automatically populates the port of arrival in India and the expected port of exit.

As per BLS guidelines, thumbprint needed (2 locations) for minors who can't sign. And both parents sign the consent form. Those who applied recently may chime in.
Yes we followed this and app accepted at Toronto BLS today.
1.consent form signed by both parents.
2. application, minors thumb print under photo and second page where it states applicants signature.
3. additionally, require both parents signature on second page below applicants signature

we additionally also added thumb prints on our minors proof copies like birth certificate etc as a self attestation .. just because it’s BLS and they can be fussy unnecessarily

Its confusing as eVISA is only an ETA and not a visa, and on arrival no visa is stamped, only an entry stamp. So what we have a number and date for is the ETA, but the place where "visa" is granted is port of entry as you say.
This was for a friend and we wrote "New Delhi" as place of issue though port of entry was Mumbai. Seems to have not back-fired. Thanks anyway -- will keep in mind for next time.

Makes sense as thumbprint along with photo is for identification while signature on page 2 is for declaration which the minor cannot make with understanding -- hence to be countersigned by parents who are the actual declarants in this case. For attestation I think parents' signature is enough as minor cannot attest, but an extra thumb print can't hurt. And may make BLS happier as you say. They are indeed overly fussy -- educated in India in school of bureaucracy.
Good luck with the application.

In Toronto BLS you can use any appt type for any service. What you get is a common token for all services on entry and the only thing the security has is a list of names and time of appt. He doesn't even check your ID, so nothing stops people going in with someone else's appointment even. There is just one list of names for all types. This was the case two weeks ago, still is the case this week.
I heard the same is the case in Brampton and building difference does not matter as there is a common, combined list of names with the security person in both buildings.

I called bls this morning, regarding thumb for minor , they said need thumb on both page 1&2 ( but parent’s sign below the thumb on page 2 )

i m also going for visa (minor)appointment tomorrow
Please keep us posted on any issues.
Do the copies need to be attested for the minors, if so, did you just sign the copies?
Thanks
