Yeah, canadian passport and PR card holders can use the kiosk. You must have your canadian passport or PR card with you to use it.

I suppose you can decline to use the kiosk and wait in the long line for visitors if you really want that stamp.

You are worrying too much my friend.. If you use KIOSK, it will still record the data in immigration database and if you go to the lineup, the officer will still manually enter the information in the database, but the extra thing you will get would be a stamp on your passport.
When you apply for citizenship, CIC will order CBSA reports (if you have provided consent in application), that's how they will calculate residency requirement. During the test, they will still check your passport to see the stamps.
