guys i need help. today when i called western union regarding the bank draft, they said i need to bring a letter of immigration, just like IMM 5620E (fee payment form for FSW), but we don't have any such form in Quebec. they also refuse to accept the web page containing payment info.

please guide what should i present???

to be honest, i don't know how western union work in this case but note that you can just ask your bank to issue you a certified check of the amount you would like and you'll be ok (that's what i did ). just let's me know if i missed to understand your post.

take your calm....you'll be fine.
good luck

hi
may i ask some questions?
where are you applying from?
do you have any bank account?

dear, it doesn't matter where you are applying from, if you have a bank account just walk in to that bank and tell them that you want them to issue you a certified check of whatever amount you would like ( in us dollar or canadian dollar) payable to .....(canadian consulate or minister of finance...whatever the the cic web site says) and it will be issued to you.
note: in my case, i went to bank of america (i have an account with them) and it took 5days to get it in the mail because i wanted to be in canadian dollar and the last time it was imediately because i've asked to be in us dollar.

is this help??????????? i've heard about wall mart but frankly i don't know how that works.

bobine

im applying from karachi, pakistan. banks here dont prepare certified cheques unless you have a dollar account, wheras my accounts are in pakistani currency.

walmart used to work here, but i think now its closed. tomorow i will try at western union with my app form and the web page. lets hope it works.

thanks alot for helping buddy :)

hey angeleye,
it should be a way to get it done at your bank in pakistan!
all you need to do now is to convert your currency in canadian dollar and then ask then to issue you a certified check of that pakistane amount payable to .....(canadian consulate or minister of finance...whatever the the cic web site says) and you'll be all set.
i an saying this because a friend of mine in togo ( west africa) did the same thing eventhough he doesn't have an account in dollar.

note: avoid the mistake my friend did!
he tryed to be smart and then send more than needed for his application because he didn't want his application fees be less than what is needed and unfortunately they did not cash the check and sent it back to him which causes delays in his process.i don't know how it will work in your case but just look at the evolution of the global currency of the day you would like to issue your check and they would do it for you unless your country bank system is something else.!!!!!!!!!!!

don't worry whatever it is you'll find a way out.

good luck

hurray :) i went to western union and they accepted the first page of application alongwith the money, and the draft will be ready by the day end today.

thanks bobine for cooperating.
