Enter Canada, Land Later!

Hi all,
I was wondering if I can enter Canada on my immigrant visa, do none of the landing formalities.
Then enter again in another day and do the landing.

I know it might not make sense to you but I am flying straight to Quebec (I have federal immigrant visa) Cannot do landing in Quebec of course, so I want to do it later.

Can this be done?

couple of questions:
- If I only enter can my dependents enter too, being "not a landed immigrant"?
- If I exit Canada, I will be returning with the same immigrant visa? again?

don't be surprised, I am also amazed at my ability in putting my self in such complicated situations.

As far as I know, Quebec will let you land if you have a connecting flight taking you out of Quebec.

They might even let you land if you have a ticket out of Quebec a bit later, as if you said you have come to Quebec to vacation before you settle somewhere else in Canada.

You and PMM are the great team for the complicated QC questions!

on the visa it says (1 Entry) so I guess this nullifies the chances of doing an "immigration loop" exiting and re-entering Canada!
leaves me with the only option of making a landing appointment in Ontario I guess.
