English Test for CEC

Hi all,

We are going to start our application for CEC and I wonder if you can help me with some doubts
- Do we need the English test to start the process? Or can we start submitting some information and documents and take the test in parallel?
- Would you recommend IELTS or CELPIP?
- My husband and I both have more than one year working in Canada under a Work Permit. Both of us need to pass the test? Or just the principal applicant?

Yes you must take either the IETLS or the CELPIP in order to create a profile

CELPIP is easier IMO.

Only the principal applicant is required to do the test but you can get extra points with the dependent's results.
