Guys...

If we work same company but deputed to different countries, Is it treating it as Job 1 & Job 2 and expecting to provide a reference letter for each job Huh

For example.. working at IBM global services and got deputed 2 years to AU, 3 years to US and 2 Years in Canada. Employer is still IBM. Is the system expecting us to upload 3 different reference letters or only 1 ??

When you entered the details on EE did you put separate each one or did you just put one entry experience IBM global services? Did you hold the same position at all these three ? Unless you did the same job title, hours, duties /responsibilites/activities I would not see any problem uploading just one experience letter, In mi opinion... Lets wait seniors comment. Good Question =D

You can use one reference letter and make sure that the employer did mention your job positions(if you have done many) , start date & end date of each ; total work hours (or full time); responsibilities of each position.

We have to have separate rows. Only when you add a row with Canada, the canadian work experience gets counted and the points be awarded.

I have the same situation. I joined in one company and moved to US,Canada on deputation.I added rows one for Canada with start and and end dates.Another one is overall experience from my joining date to till date. After receiving ITA we can add job history with splits. I have one letter which states I joined in this company 2005 and deputed to Canada between dates etc. I will upload this same document in both rows. I hope my thoughts and exp. Will help you.

I'm also detached by the parent company from office 1 to office 2, moreover office 2 went through restructuring and changed its name, so it is now office 3. I'm getting 3 letters since my employment contracts are with 3 different companies although they are owned by the same parent company.

Hi everyone I have a query, I haven't got foreign work experience. After I submitted EE profile, it said "CRS - Skill Transferability - Foreign Work Experience 0".

My question, do I still have to provide employment letter to CIC while I will apply for PR, even though I haven't got any points under foreign work exp ?
Thanks.

Did IBM provided you the reference letter with job and responsibilities?

Does CIC get in touch with your current employer to verify the referral letter?
I am finding it difficult to get a referral letter from my current boss as he may not readily agree to give the letter and may screw up my prospects in the future.

I received ITA just today!!!

Yes they may call your employer (meaning the person who signs the reference letter).

Hi all,

I have a dilemma,

my first employer has give me a reference letter mentioning my pay, number of hours work and duration of work. However they refused to write down my duties and they clearly stated on the letter that its their companies policy to only provide factual information, can i still submit that letter or will it be a problem to CIC? kindly advise

thanks

Without job responsibilities, this letter holds no meaning for CIC. They need a letter with job responsibilities so that they can match it against a particular NOC.

Thank you Senior Asivad,

unfortunately they are refusing to write the duties on the letter due to some company policy.. even though i have a contract from them and some pay stubs, you think its worth submitting that? I worked for that particular company for 6 months and its i need to log the experience in to maximize my points!

any last suggestions?
