Employment Reference Letter Issuer Question

Hi All,

I search around in the forum and cannot find any related thread. When preparing documents required by PR application after ITA, my wife and I have got all employment reference letters. I have got two letters from the HR department of my previous companies. But both letters don't directly say they are issued by HR or personnel officers. One is signed and issued by "Director, Corporate Affairs" and another is from "Executive Director". In addition, my wife is hired by a university and gets a letter from her immediate supervisor, which also does not explicitly say "I am her immediate supervisor". Her supervisor just gives all necessary information and puts down "Associate Dean, Faculty of Education" with his signature.

Do you think these three employment reference letters are acceptable for CIC? It will be difficult to ask them to issue letters again.

Hi...

The reference letter does not require to be signed by the HR . If they sign it not an issue. It is either your immediate Supervisor or the person you are reporting to needs to sign the ref. letter.

If your work experience is outside Canada, then it is irrelevant and you don't need to sumbit any letters. Move them to Personal History section and remove them from Work History section and you will not be asked for the letters.
Thanks a lot for your reply. Will it hurt if I submit my employment letters?
