Hi all,

I am busy completing the IMM 0008, or skilled worker, immigrant form.

On the form I have to only list my employment for the last 10 years. No problem.

However, I have heard that I have to account for my employment from my 18th birthday. A couple of those companies no longer exist. What do I do in this case? Or can I just follow the form and ignore the previous employment?

Regards,
Evyn

Did you manage to get proof from every company?

I know there is one company that I will never get any proof for. It's closed and the owner appears to be dead!

You don't need proof from every company. Don't you only need proof for the amount of years of work experience you're claiming in order to get points? How many years of work experience are you claiming? if you're claiming experience that includes these companies that do not exist, then yes you'll need to get evidence.

When you fill out the immigration forms, you should fill-in all the companies, month-by-month, that you worked for since age 18. This is just a listing, though.

For the companies that you include on schedule 3 (i.e., that qualify under an NOC code), you should provide additional documentation such as pay receipts, references, job descriptions, etc.
