Hello

I worked for Accenture way back in 2012. It has been hard to get a hold of HR in this climate to ask for an employment letter.
I do have a very detailed employment letter that I used for Green Card Application in 2016. Could I use that? or will that work against me?

Thank you!

Letter should be current but you can explain why you can't get a new one in a letter of explanation , no problems.

Now coming to the content of your letter if it fits the right form asked by IRCC then you should not worry , keep in mind that the letter need to specify your position title, period of employment ( from when to when) , hours worked per week , your salary and benefits and all your duties and responsibilities, it also should include the name of your supervisor or HR with all contact details( must be current) , finally it must bear an official letter head of the company, stamped and signed.

If the reference letter have all the above-mentioned info then you should be okay, if there is something missing like number of hours worked ( can get you in review required by the officer) or for example if the officer can't match the content of your letter with your NOC then you could face rejection, I advice you to check if it matches perfectly before using it, if everything is okay then you are good to go.

Thank you! really detailed response :-) Since my NOC is 2174 - my letter would need to have these details correct? https://countrywidevisas.com/find-n...programmers-and-interactive-media-developers/

You are welcome, yes your responsibilities should match with NOC 2174 , not exactly 100 % but at least enough to tell that your job is exactly the NOC you claimed.
Thanks again! I just submitted an application after COVID and was absolutely not expecting any response! pleasantly surprised to see the Interest Letter :-)
