You cant claim points for Pharmacist NOc 3131 unless you have licence to practice in Canada. Foreign experience won't count in any licenced profession...!!

If not mistaken CIC has mentioned in the NOC only community pharmacist and hospital pharmacist requires a license.
Is it a common practice that CIC denies experience of regulated profession from foreign countries such as doctor, pharmacist or nurses etc?

Actually If you are claiming for NOC 3131 then it only falls under Pharmacist as there is no other profession related to NOc 3131( community or Hospital pharmacist are a part of Pharmacist in Canada) I got this teply when I asked to claim points for Foreign Pharmacy experience) you can certainly claim points for education but not the experience, I got this reply when I asked then about it...!!!

The Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada (PEBC) is designated by the Minister of Citizenship and Immigration Canada as of January 6, 2014 to provide Educational Credential Assessments (ECA) for Principal Applicants intending to apply under the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) for immigration to Canada and for whom Pharmacist would be the primary occupation for their application to immigrate to Canada. Please see the Citizenship and Immigration Canada website: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who.asp for more information.

As of May 4, 2013, pharmacists are not categorized as an “eligible occupation” under the FSWP. New applications from pharmacists are only processed under the FSWP if the applicant has a valid offer of arranged employment in Canada. For pharmacists who applied under the FSWP before May 4, 2013, applications are processed according to the rules that were in effect at that time.

I cannot seem to locate this in cic webpage though.
I do not get you? So you yourself is a pharmacist and have been denied such experience or you have heard it from an official channel?

This is not true... The experience counts. It is Canadian experience that must meet Canadian regulations.

Don't worry, that is out-of-date information from before the Express Entry system was implemented. You can apply, and it looks as though the NOC is the proper NOC for your position.

The only thing you need to be aware of is that the educational credentials assessment MUST go to the Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada, rather than WES or one of the other "usual" ECA providers.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/assessment.asp

And, no, CIC does not expect you to become licensed in Canada BEFORE you become a PR : ) But it's a good idea to become familiar with the process if you hope to work as a Pharmacist here.

I believe you... but the message is referring to 2013!!!! That is OUt OF DATE - before express entry, CIC had a list of eligible occupations for FSW - it looks like PEBC simply has not updated their form letter. Under express entry, as long as an occupation is SKILLED (NOC O,A, or B), it is eligible. There are no excluded occupations.

See #13 http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/media/notices/2014-12-01.asp#

You can always call CIC if iin doubt..

I emailed them in august 2015, when I completed my one year of work exp in Canada. I got the reply then, It says since 2013 the rules have been changed..!! It doesn't means that I asked them in 2013...!!

#13 is a generic one, doesn't answer you about the licenced profession. See #48 so you will get your answer.
