My husband and I applied for PR through Express Entry and also applied for a bridging visa in May 2018. We have had no response on either application yet. We are currently on implied status and are employed. Does anyone know or have prior personal experience to confirm whether or not I am eligible to apply for EI Maternity Pay based on my PR application pending and being on implied status?

To the best of my knowledge you must be holding a valid work permit to qualify for maternity benefits. However I'm not 100% certain.

Hi Mary, what happened with this for you? I'm in the same situation and wondering if I will get EI maternity whilst on implied status.

You also need to verify whethrr you will medical coverage. In some provices you won't.
