Question regarding section 11, employment activity:

For someone who is in parallel both self-employed part-time, and at remaining hours of the day a homemaker (when not actively working on self-employed business), what do you put in - two separate entries? Are overlapping periods of time OK?

Or is it better to just omit "homemaker" (as technically everyone is a homemaker part-time) and leave "self-employed"? Should "part-time" be included in the occupation/activity description, or is that unnecessary?

If you are otherwise employed (self employed / full or part-time employment or both), you don't have to add "homemaker" as an entry and yes, overlapping periods are fine as long as you don't leave any gaps whatsoever.

Thanks.

Should I indicate "part-time" and "full-time"?

Also, if one period ends 2016-03 (say, ended employment on the last day of March), and the next period begins 2016-04 (started next job beginning of April), is this considered a "gap"?

That's up to you. If you worked at 2 different addresses, then I would just have 2 separate rows for that, one for full time and the other for part time.

No
