The employer has to show that employer can afford a HSW/PSW. So if you are paid $19.50 an hour (based on where you live) that is $38k per year. This only leaves $12K for the employer’s expenses (rent, food, healthcare, medical, transportation) which is not a lot.If the income of the employer is 50 to 55k, can he hire a foreign hsw in Ontario. The employer is alone and doesn't have any children.
Thank you all in advance.
Is the 50/55K pre tax or post tax?If the income of the employer is 50 to 55k, can he hire a foreign hsw in Ontario. The employer is alone and doesn't have any children.

Thanks so as per you what is the minimum income to hire. The employer has to show that employer can afford a HSW/PSW. So if you are paid $19.50 an hour (based on where you live) that is $38k per year. This only leaves $12K for the employer’s expenses (rent, food, healthcare, medical, transportation) which is not a lot.
Twice that income. Its pre tax...what is a good income to hire.
So employer makes 42,510 per year, or $3,542 per month. Your salary is $35k. 83% of employer salary to pay for HSW. Needs close to double salary to pay for all living expenses. Its pre tax...what is a good income to hire.
This seems to be a family who is trying to hire you. Do they have medical needs requiring a full-time caregiver? If you’ve already applied you should expect a refusal. Its pre tax...what is a good income to hire.
Yes employer has medical needs. I believe the ircc asks for 3years NOA plus he has additional personal savings. This seems to be a family who is trying to hire you. Do they have medical needs requiring a full-time caregiver? If you’ve already applied you should expect a refusal.
Given his income he wouldn’t qualify.Yes employer has medical needs. I believe the ircc asks for 3years NOA plus he has additional personal savings.
How much is needed to qualify as per you.Given his income he wouldn’t qualify.
There is no set amount but as I posted above. If he makes $42K after tax, he will want to almost double it. He needs to support himself and a full-time employee. He needs to determine what his annual living expenses are - rent/mortgage, food, utilities, medical expenses etc.How much is needed to qualify as per you.
As already stated at least double depending on his expenses. If his expenses are high like rent it could be even more. The fact that you are a family member will place more scrutiny on whether this is a genuine application as well since others have used this program to sponsor family members but then the family members don’t actually work as HSW or Nannies for these families. How much is needed to qualify as per you.
