Guys I just want to say Thank you very much . As mentioned that sharing really made this difficult journey easy and because of that I opened my Ecas otherwise I had stopped looking at it as it would just disappoint me .
I am eligible for citizenship application for March 2017 as well , anyone in same journey plz let us know so we can all move together . And best wishes and prayer for those who r still waiting . And congratulations who recieved it after a long patience .

I have been following this post for a while but did not post till now. It seems CIC is clearing April 2016 secondary review cases now.

The timelines for 2 Applications (Myself & Spouse) are as under :

1. We received your application for a permanent resident card on February 8, 2016.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on March 21, 2016.
3. We started processing your application on March 21, 2016.
4. Email for Secondary Review – April 21, 2016
5. Your Permanent Resident card was sent by mail on January 12, 2017.

As your file went to secondary review in May, you may have your card soon since April are now getting theirs. goodluck to you!

P.S. Not sure myself how to know where our file is at the moment. I hope someone who knew will answer your question.

We will just wait patiently, no choice anyway.
But it is encouraging to see someone got their card approved or in the mail.

Hi Matheus,

You will need to file a request for an ATIP file. It costs 5$ and usually takes about 20-30 days till you receive it in your inbox. I did one back in September got it mid October and it showed my file move around from Sydney to Hamilton then Windsor. Still waiting though...

I agree about the point that different offices have different time frames, however I believe that when a file goes to a secondary review it automatically goes to the local office then after it is approved they send it back to Sydney for final approval and card printing.

The GCMS notes show the file transfer history.

My file was at PRC Sydney all the time. For the secondary review it was referred to "Team review" at PRC Sydney. This seems like a unit at PRC Sydney responsible for secondary reviews.

Thanks all .
Today I recieved my looooooooong awaited card by mail and I can't believe it's in my hands . But the wait Time was sooo long that I feel my feelings are numb already .
Anyhow good luck to all who are waiting and be passion , you will ultimately get it .
So March journey will be together Saga .
Is it advisable to apply thru agent or myself is better as I don't want any more delays .
Second I am confuse about language requirement. I have CBL 8 and Ielts academic 7 . Doctor by profession but transcript doesn't state medium of instruction . Whats ur advice . Go for CELPIP to avoid delays ? As one friend in same boat was returned file askin for CELPIP .
I know there are other forums but somehow I am so attach to our family group that I want to stay here

Obviously there is a pattern it seems that IRCC is reviewing in January 2017 all applications referred to SR in March 2016/April 2016. And obviously there is a pattern so probably (although not sure), we should start seeing some movements in February 2017 on applications referred to SR in April 2016/May 2016.

I was referred in September 2016 so I can't do anything but impatiently wait
